"The Prince"

Prince Akihito Komatsugu became the adopted son of Emperor Hyomaki in 1858, prince Junjin, and in the first year of Meiji (1868), he served as military governor, viceroy of the Navy and Army, governor of the Military Defense Bureau, governor of the Military Affairs Bureau, and general of the Aizu Conquest. Meiji went to England in 3 years according to the custom of the prince, returned to China after completing his studies in Meiji 5 years, and served as the governor of Meiji in 7 years, major general of the army, and in 1880 he was appointed lieutenant general of the army. Because of his participation in the Meiji Restoration and his outstanding military achievements, in 1881 he was made a hereditary prince and changed his name to Komatsu Palace. On December 7, 1882, he was awarded the Grand Order of the Chrysanthemum Grand Cordon, and in 1890 he was appointed Grand Admiral of the Army.

"The OuterWear"

Throughout the Meiji era, Prince Akihito was mainly presented to the world as a hard-hitting soldier: he served as secretary of state of the army, governor of conquest, commander of the Tokyo Town, governor of the Guards, head of the Guards Division, chief of staff, governor of the Imperial Guard, and head of the Japanese army in the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War. (Note: Prince Kenin Miyazaihito, the chief of staff during World War II, and Prince Nohisa of Kita-Shirakawa Palace, who attacked Taiwan during the Sino-Japanese War, were the half-brothers of Prince Shōhito) But on the other hand, at the age of 12, he was proclaimed by the crown prince and became the 30th abbot of Renwa-ji Temple, and in 1867, he participated in the Meiji Restoration and made great military achievements. He organized and established the "Renhe Society" and served as its president, maintaining long-term close contact with Renhe Temple. In addition, he has served as president of various social organizations such as the Japanese Red Cross Society, the Japan Fisheries Society, and the Japan Mountain and Forest Society. No wonder this calligraphy work has a strong Zen meaning, after all, he was once a monk, but people do not know that he is the other side of the war maniac.

"Invasion of China"

Let's see how cruel history is. After the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War, Akihito Komatsugu was actively engaged in planning the invasion of Korea and China. In October 1894, Prince Komatsugu led the Guards Division to land on the Liaodong Peninsula and participate in the Battle of Lushun; in January 1895, he was transferred back to China as the chief of staff of the base camp. On March 16, 1895, Japan established the "Imperial Governor's Palace" in Lushun, with Prince Akihito Komatsugu as the "Grand Governor-General of the Qing Dynasty", comprehensively commanding the military operations of invading China, taking charge of the formulation of operational plans, directing the appointment and dismissal of the whole army and the appointment and dismissal of officers. Although he did not directly participate in the war of aggression against China, he was actually fully responsible for planning and directing the japanese army and navy's invasion of China, and has been manipulating and commanding behind the scenes.

"Selfless"

I usually choose a special angle to evaluate the collection of antiques, that is, what is different about the collection, the rarity is expensive, and in layman's terms, there is no selling point. This work is already loved from a calligraphic point of view, and it really has a bright feeling. "All nations have joy and selflessness", the combination of seals and subordinates, winning with rhyme, full of Zen; benevolence and full of flavor, as if there is no killing and harm in the world, the people of all countries can live in peace, and the world has been a peaceful scene ever since; the payment is "President of the Great Japanese Red Cross Society, Prince Akihito of the Great Japanese Red Cross Society", at first glance, the identity is extremely prominent, making people obviously feel that kind of royal aura, especially throughout the entire layout, plus the huge prince seal, it is indeed shocking, it is really a rare treasure. The most interesting thing is that there are two stamps on the lower left, namely "Prince Zhangren" and "no dispute", this "selfless" and "no dispute" is simply full of irony, expressed by him in this way, it is really too funny, painstakingly running to China to burn and loot, is this "no dispute", this is a naked "to fight", "to fight", "to fight", "to fight", "to fight", but also to be greedy.

"A thought is pure, all things are happy"

We have the kindness of one thought, and all things are happy; as long as there is the kindness of one heart, all things are celebrated. A person, especially a man like him, who has a heavy army, still has to read more books of the sages and do more benevolent and righteous things, but if he has evil thoughts, even if he was the president of the Red Cross before, even if he has ever been a monk, then he will still be dirty when doing things, which can be described as a human face and beastly heart. Even if the calligraphy is well written, the Zen understanding is deep, and the Buddhist knowledge is rich, if you still have to pick up a butcher knife to kill people, it can only make people see his hypocrisy and viciousness.

In February 1903, Akihito Komatsumiya fell ill and died at the age of 57. Childless, Komatsugu was extinct for generations.
