Terrique Evans attended Aston Christian High School in Pennsylvania and averaged 32.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 4.3 steals in his senior year of high school, including 50+ on two occasions, and Evans scored 3300 points in his high school career.
At that year's McDonald's All-American High School All-Star Game, Evans was named the Most Valuable Player with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists.

He was named Pennsylvania's 2008 High School Player of the Year by the Associated Press.

In his freshman year, Terek Evans averaged 17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, leading the team in points and steals. He set a record for rookie steals in a single season (77 times) and was named the rookie of the United States League of the Week 9 times.
Terek Evans was named the 2009 U.S. League Championship Most Valuable Player, The League Rookie of the Year; named to the U.S. League First Team of the Year; and was one of the final candidates for the 2008–09 Wooden Award and the Oscar Robertson Award.
