But this Sunday wasn't the worst day of the weekend on the New York subway — on Saturday, four people were attacked in a New York subway station. Fortunately, none of the six victims of the recent weekend were killed. And to curb crime, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced last month that he would inject more police into the subway system, not only allowing officers to ride trains but also other community patrols to spend more time at stations and platforms.
