The Tibetan word for "Kasai" is ཁ་ཟས།, which is a transliteration of the text, "Ka" means "mouth" in Tibetan, "Sai" means "eat" in Tibetan, and Kasai means snack, which belongs to the category of fried fruits.
When welcoming the new year, fried Tibetan twist flowers (Kasai) is the most youthful labor. It is a kind of fried pasta made from white noodles, ghee and other raw materials, and it is a necessity for Tibetan families to entertain guests and make offerings during the Tibetan calendar year.
For a family, the number of types of twist flowers fried, the quality of the products, and the good or bad taste will become important topics in the New Year. On this day, almost everyone can not eat a meal, a few people who unite with each other, borrow labor from each other, and those who have skills and experience not only decorate their own festivals with various delicious noodles and fruits at this time, but also are always greatly welcomed by friends.
