On February 20, according to the British "Sun" newspaper, a British 5-year-old girl became the youngest writer in the world after successfully publishing her first picture book, Lost Cats.
The 5-year-old girl, Bella-Jay Dark, is from Weymouth, Dorset, England. Mr. Bella's parents are blue-collar workers, her mom, Chelsie Syme, 27, who is a chef, and her dad, Myles Dark, 30, a stuccoer. They never expected their daughter to be so gifted to create a picture book and storybook on her own. They were so proud of their daughter that they didn't expect her to have such great abilities.
The Lost Cat is currently being published at Ginger Fyre Press. It sells on Amazon and Waterstone Bookstore for four pounds (34 yuan).
Bella's book follows the adventures of a cat named Snowy, who recognizes how unfortunate it is not to have her mother's company. At the end of the story, the police finally send the cat explorer back into the arms of the cat mother.
Her mother, Chelsie Syme, said they started going to book fairs with the book, just to try their luck, and were pleasantly surprised that someone took a fancy to the book and was willing to publish it.
The book ends with a portrait of Bella and her sister Lacey-May, painted by her sister. In the picture, the sisters snuggle warmly together. Except for this painting, the entire book was created by Bella alone. From the warm sentences in the book, it can be seen that the little girl Bella has a happy family, which is the foundation of her artistic creation.
Bella, at the end of the book, also writes that the next episode of The Kitten Snowy's story will soon meet with readers, hoping that the next episode's story will be more exciting.
