It is rumored that the compound was built under the leadership of Hua Kexuan during the Guangxu dynasty of the Qing Dynasty. Hua Kexuan (1843-1896), the character Chengyu, the number Yingting, its ancestors moved here from Pumen City, as a branch of the three houses of the Pumen Hua family.
Yishang Hua Yikui. Zi Zhibi (1791-1861), known as Dongtan, was Hua Kexuan's grandfather. Businessmen, dunhou shangyi, have the style of a gentleman. Sometimes some merchants have made huge sums of money through Yikui pre-purchase alum mountain every other year, the advent period, unexpected kiln owners closed production, capital goods are unable to accept, merchants are sad to die.
Yi Kui resolutely sold the land and family business to repay it, and the merchants were very moved, tearful, and everyone preached that Yi Kui was righteous and trustworthy. When the merchants from near and far heard about it, they were willing to do business with him, and the situation gradually became prosperous. In addition, in the third year of Xianfeng (1853), Pumen suffered a series of severe droughts and floods, and the poor people collected grass roots and bark to fill their hunger. Yi Kui sent heavy funds to transport grain from thousands of miles away to sell at an equal price, and did not consult those who did not repay the credits. He also said to his family: "Those who are rich in wealth are also anxious to help others!" "Those who are good at money management have repeatedly divided people with wealth, and those who do not have money have their way!" Inheriting his family style and tutoring, a five-generation righteous merchant represented by Hua Yikui, Si Jian, Ke Xuan, Lan Qing and Zhenzhong emerged, and "Hua Tong Ji" was its century-old brand.
Hua Kexiu, together with his father Hua Sijian and uncle Hua Siqia, are all village drinkers, inherit the family business, operate in good faith, fight righteousness and loose wealth, cultivate and read heirlooms, and be enthusiastic about family and local public welfare undertakings. His uncle Hua Sizhu (華思助), courtesy name Chen (庠名琛), took the name of Ru Hua wenyi (儒华文漪) as his grandson, Yi Kusheng (邑庠生), who had helped xiangxian Hua Siying to train the regiment and defend the township to quell the chaos. In the autumn of qing guangxu, merchants presented a plaque for the General Record of Washington ,"Shan Ji Yu Qing". Ke Xuan's eldest son Hua Renxiu (1862-1921), Lan Qing, supervisor of Zhen Fan, a national student, in order to run a righteous school, from the long-term consideration, donated land to establish the "Lan Yi Society".
His sons Hua Juemin (Zhenzhong) and Xingmin (Zhong Xu) obeyed their father's will and donated money in 1928 to establish Zhenhua Primary School (the predecessor of Pucheng School) in Huaci Temple, with Juemin as the first principal, and in 1931 he was awarded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China and the Zhejiang Provincial Government. Chen Zhe, then the governor of Pingyang County of the Republic of China, presented a plaque with the inscription "Chengqi". In 1933, Mr. Liu Shaokuan (Ci Rao) of the Republic of China wrote "Records of Zhenhua Ethnic Studies", which said: "Yu Xiwen Pumen Huasheng Juemin, with the orders of his ancestor Mr. Lan Qing, went out of the field to establish ethnic studies, and his heart was very jiazhi... At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Lu Shiyi (桴亭), the Great Confucian of Jiangnan, said: "If you are beneficial, you will be trained, and if you are not clear, you will be unfavorable." The "HuatongJi" business name takes its meaning of "Tongli". Here there are five generations of righteous merchants, thrifty to make self-covenants, righteousness to zhouren, shangde to re-teach, talented people. Hua Xinnong, Xiu Qiu, Ye Hong, Ye Zhi, Ye Hua, Hua Han, Xiao Shan, Huai Jian, Xiao Ting, and Wallace Company founders Huai Yu and Huai Qing Brothers are all behind. Famous doctor Hua Xinnong. Also known as Hua Yegeng (1918-1990), the eldest son of Hua Zhenzhong (Juemin) and the great-grandson of Ke Xuan. Graduated from Wenzhou Ouhai Middle School in the autumn of 1933, studied traditional Chinese medicine in Wenzhou from the end of 1933 to 1937, studied traditional Chinese medicine under the famous Wenzhou doctor Jin Shenzhi, from 1938 to March 1959, successively served as a traditional Chinese medicine physician in yanpu, Xiaguan United Clinic, Alum Mountain Health Center, and Pingyang County People's Hospital, from March 1959 to August 1984 as a traditional Chinese medicine physician in Mazhan District Health Center, from August 1984 to May 1987 as the full-time vice chairman of the second committee of Cangnan County of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, retiring in June 1987.
In his early years, he participated in the Anti-Japanese Salvation Movement in Pu District, joined the Communist Party of China in 1938, served as a member of the United Front Work Committee of the Pu District Committee of Dingping County in 1939, and served as the principal of Huilan Primary School (the predecessor of Yanpu Primary School) in Pucheng Township from 1940 to 1941, using the school as a base to carry out underground revolutionary activities. In 1941, under the White Terror, he was forced to lose contact with the organization due to the betrayal of traitors. During the "purge" campaign in 1958, he was mishandled due to the interference of the ultra-"Left" line, and was severely persecuted during the Cultural Revolution. In May 1981, he was finally rehabilitated and implemented after decades of historical wrongdoing.
What is rare and valuable is that in the long years of suffering political setbacks and unfair treatment, he did not become depressed because of this, always firmly believed that the injustice would one day be revealed, and devoted himself to the study of traditional Chinese medicine, striving for excellence, especially for measles, kidney stones, hepatitis, stroke, hookworm disease, injury, gynecology and other difficult diseases, has his own unique views and therapies, and he "is not a good doctor, he is a good doctor", saving the world, so he is famous and deeply loved and respected by the people. He was the first in our county to be rated as the attending physician and deputy chief physician of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and served as the chairman of the Cangnan County Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and the chairman of the Cangnan County Ear Acupuncture Engineering Society, making due contributions to the cause of traditional Chinese medicine. Therefore, the "Wenzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Chronicle" included his deeds and wrote: "He is familiar with the classics, makes good use of the Scriptures to treat internal gynecological and pediatric diseases, and has a high reputation at the junction of Zhejiang and Fujian."
