Toyota owners please note! Nearly 40,000 CH-Rs have been recalled, and the radar may be faulty

Recently, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents, Toyota will recall 36,558 C-HR models manufactured between June 12, 2020 and July 26, 2021 in the US market, and the reason for the recall is that the vehicle assembly plant did not properly initialize the radar sensor, resulting in the failure of the vehicle's pre-collision warning system, thereby increasing the safety hazard.

If the vehicle has this fault, the radar sensors will not be able to detect the vehicle in front of it, and the vehicle will not alert the owner of the problem with the collision warning system. Thankfully, only 0.03% of the 36,558 C-HR vehicles are expected to fail, and this failure has not yet caused a related traffic accident.

The solution is that Toyota will notify the owner on April 11 that after the owner sends the vehicle to the dealership, the dealer will check the radar sensors of the affected vehicle, and if the vehicle is faulty, the dealer will repair the vehicle for free.
