[Aika Auto Overseas New Car Original]
We previously reported that Lotus's first pure electric SUV model, the TYPE 132, will be officially unveiled on March 29. Lotus officials have also released a number of short pre-warm-up videos about the model, but they have never announced the full picture of the car. However, just recently, the British Intellectual Property Office released a set of patent drawings for TYPE 132, making the car's outline and part of the detail design public.
As can be seen from the figure, the TYPE 132 as a pure electric SUV has a very distinct supercar design style, the large inclination of the A-pillar and C-pillar make the attitude of this SUV quite low, and the angular lines and the exaggerated active lower air intake grille are easily reminiscent of Lotus's Evija pure electric supercar worth more than 20 million yuan. The split headlights, electronic exterior mirrors, double-piece rear spoiler, and unique through taillights are the design highlights of this car in terms of appearance.
According to previous information, the new car will provide 23-inch oversized blade wheels, while the roof is equipped with retractable lidar, or will provide high-end driving assistance functions; and inside the vehicle, the unique steering wheel, large size central control screen, full LCD instrument with through the light strip effect, HUD function are also shown in the previous trailer.
The TYPE 132 will be powered by an electric motor of up to 735 kW (1000 hp) and an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is expected to go within 3 seconds. The vehicle is equipped with a 120kWh battery pack with an 800V high-voltage charging system with a maximum charging power of up to 350kW.
