Previously, according to Feng Qingfeng, CEO of Lotus Group, Lotus Type 132 will be launched worldwide on March 29, 2022.
The new car is positioned as an ultra-luxury pure electric smart SUV, which will be equipped with a combination of "ultra-high-performance lidar + ultra-high-definition camera + 4D millimeter wave radar". Feng Qingfeng said that in 2023 and 2025, Lotus will launch an E-class four-door coupe code-named Type 133 and a D-class "pure electric intelligent new species" code-named Type 134, respectively.
From this patent drawing, we can see that lotus Type 132 adopts a new design style, and adopts an active grille design, which can better reduce air resistance, and the car adopts a hidden door handle and an electronic rearview mirror design, which enhances the vehicle's sense of technology. In addition, the new car can be seen to be equipped with an active rear spoiler, which further increases the aerodynamic performance.
In terms of interior, with reference to previous reports, the new car will be equipped with a floating central control screen, the overall design is very simple, and supports the adjustment of a certain angle to meet the visual effects of different positions. The design of the center console is also relatively streamlined, and it is expected to use black as the main color, supplemented by the design of yellow stitching, adding a lot of high-grade texture.
In the power part, the new car will be equipped with a battery pack of 92-120kWh, and support an 800V high-voltage charging system, with a maximum charging power of up to 350kW and only 20 minutes to charge to 80% of the power. The specific power parameters of the car have not yet been known, and the acceleration time of 0-96km/h is expected to be controlled at about 3 seconds.
According to Lotus's plan, by 2026, it plans to launch 4 new models, which will form a global matrix of pure electric products of lotus group for the next 5 years together with british production. Among them, the TYPE 132 will be launched this year; the electric four-door coupe model codenamed TYPE 133 will be launched in 2023; the new all-electric model code-named TYPE 134 will be launched in 2025; and the new pure electric sports model code-named TYPE 135 will be launched in 2026.
