Hyundai Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. recalls some imports of Kia Jawa Motors. Effective March 18, 2022, the recall of some imported Kia Ka Wah vehicles manufactured between October 10, 2016 and February 27, 2018, for a total of 1,090 vehicles.
The reason for the recall is that when some vehicles vibrate or impact, the airbag control module (ACU) housing and the internal memory may interfere, and long-term interference will cause memory damage, airbag warning lights are lit, resulting in vehicle collisions When the airbag may not be able to unfold normally, there is a safety hazard.
This is not the first time Kia Kahua has been recalled, and earlier in overseas markets, the new generation of Ka Wah has issued two recalls, once because of problems with the engine fuel pipe and once because of bad parts, resulting in possible problems with the sliding doors.
At the end of 2021, Dongfeng Yueda Kia filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. Decided to recall a total of 395 vehicles of the fourth generation of The Company, which was produced between October 27, 2021 and November 19, 2021, effective December 24, 2021.
The reason for the recall is that the internal parts of the actuator of the right electric sliding door control assembly are manufactured poorly, resulting in the intermittent closing of the right electric sliding door, which may open during the driving of the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury to the occupants.
In recent years, Hyundai's sales in China are not optimistic. According to the data, in 2021, Beijing Hyundai achieved cumulative sales of 385,000 vehicles, down 23.3% year-on-year, which is the fifth consecutive year of annual sales decline of Beijing Hyundai. Dongfeng Yueda Kia also experienced a trough from a peak of 650,000 vehicles in 2016 to a trough of 159,000 vehicles in 2021.
From annual sales of one million to annual sales of 300,000 vehicles, this is inseparable from the decline in product quality. As a representative of Korean cars, Beijing Hyundai has obtained high-speed growth opportunities in the Chinese market with cost-effective labels. However, with the exploration of independent brands and the reduction of the price of joint venture brands, the advantages of Korean cars are no longer there. At the same time, consumers are increasingly demanding quality and experience, and Beijing Hyundai has not been able to keep up with market demand.
# BMW stall big thing! #
BMW Brilliance Automobile Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. recalled some domestic and imported vehicles.
Among them, BMW Brilliance Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled 6 BMW 3 Series and X3 vehicles with automatic transmission defects from December 25, 2019 to October 12, 2021, with production dates.
The reason for the recall was that the bolts in the mechatronic control system assembly section of the automatic transmission were not properly installed due to a production error. Over time, it may lead to internal failure of the gearbox, the gearbox is switched to emergency mode, resulting in the interruption of power during the vehicle's driving; it may also lead to the failure of the transmission parking lock, which in extreme cases causes the vehicle to slip during driving, and there is a safety hazard.
BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. expanded the recall of some imported BMW 2 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, X3, X5 and X6 vehicles with airbag defects from November 5, 2013 to August 25, 2017, totaling 37 vehicles.
The reason for the recall is that the driver of the vehicle's front airbag is equipped with a gas generator containing ammonium nitrate produced by Takata Corporation, and its gas generator is not perfect in moisture protection, and the gas generator may deteriorate under the influence of repeated changes in temperature and humidity. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the people in the car, which is a safety hazard.
While the brand is the one with the fewest designed vehicles in this recall, BMW is in big trouble in the global market.
According to Reuters reported on the 9th, German automaker BMW said on Wednesday that it would recall 1.03 million cars worldwide because of the potential fire risk of these cars. This is also the third recall that BMW has launched since 2017 on this issue.
# Mercedes-Benz can not escape consumer accountability #
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled some imported S-class and domestic C-class vehicles.
Among them, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. recalled some imported S-class vehicles with production dates from June 21, 2021 to November 8, 2021, a total of 5,034 vehicles.
Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 25,773 domestic C-class vehicles with production dates from December 9, 2020 to November 29, 2021.
The reason for the recall is that the software problem of the communication module control unit may cause the voice connection to not be established during the emergency call or the emergency call function cannot be used, resulting in the delay of the relevant rescue and the existence of security risks.
It is worth noting that the recent collective complaint and rights protection incident of car owners caused by Mercedes-Benz EQC "coolant leakage caused by motor failure" has not yet come to an end.
The cause of the incident was on the eve of the Spring Festival, a joint statement from 68 Mercedes-Benz EQC owners began to circulate online. In the statement, the owners said that the Mercedes-Benz EQC they purchased had one or more motor failures in use, and they speculated that it was caused by the leakage of coolant into the motor.
On February 18, Beijing Benz filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, deciding to recall some EQC electric vehicles with production dates from November 30, 2018 to December 15, 2021, starting from August 15, 2022, and describing the cause of the failure as "manufacturing deviation".
Apparently, car owners aren't buying it. On March 7, 245 Mercedes-Benz EQC owners spoke out again, demanding that Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. immediately recall some EQC electric vehicles with production dates from November 30, 2018 to December 15, 2021, while providing scooters of the same grade during the recall period and bearing the necessary expenses of the owners during this period.
For the owner of the motor who has replaced the motor, the owner is given the right to choose to return or change the car; for the recalled faulty vehicle, the lifelong warranty of the "three electric system" is extended after maintenance, and a certain amount of depreciation compensation for the second-hand car is given.
At present, Mercedes-Benz has not issued a response on this matter. 【iDailycar】
