Our test drive BMW iX3 Chuangling model is equipped with 811 type nickel cobalt manganese ternary lithium-ion batteries in the Ningde era, and the battery pack contains 188 batteries with a capacity of 74kWh. The energy density of the battery pack system is 154Wh/kg, and the official cruising range under THE NDC conditions reaches 490km. How does the BMW iX3 perform? We did a test for this.
BMW's Autonomous Driving Assistance System Pro enables L2-level driver assistance with a front-looking tri-eye camera, four surround-view cameras, a full-range millimeter-wave radar, four short-range millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Including full-speed segment adaptive cruise, lane keeping, traffic congestion assistance and lane change assistance and other functions, but also to achieve automatic parking, follow-up assistance and other functions, the functions are more mature and practical, the recognition ability of the smart camera is quite good, the distance with the car is very appropriate, and the braking action is very soft, and basically will not deviate from the lane when passing through large curves.
I also experienced the BMW iX3's 50m track reversing function, which can automatically reverse the vehicle along the entry trajectory back to 50m, which is currently equipped in many new BMW models, which is still very interesting for some specific car use scenarios.
The "double kidneys" are still there, and the appearance is dynamic and sharp
In terms of appearance, the new BMW iX3 is based on the new fuel version of the X3, which has the same height in design. The new headlights and taillights are sharper, the front and rear bumpers are also equipped with a new, more geometric style, the iconic "double kidney" grille area is slightly increased, and a new style of rims is replaced.
BMW officially said that the new model will be equipped with active anti-glare headlights as standard, and the aurora headlights are also added as an optional configuration. When the speed is above 60km/h, the laser high beam group can illuminate the range far ahead of the general LED lamp source.
In terms of size, the length/width/height of the new car is 4746/1891/1683mm, and the wheelbase is 2864mm, which is basically the same as the previous model, and still achieves an excellent balance between the interior space and the handling flexibility.
