Nreal's new AR glasses Nreal Air went on sale in Japan on March 4, and MESON announced a partnership with operator NTT Docomo to jointly develop AR applications for the glasses. The two apps, which are themed "tourism" and "telecommuting," are currently offering live experiences at more than 100 brick-and-mortar stores across Japan.

Generally, when traveling, tourists often have to hold a smartphone or map in hand, while looking down, while heading towards the destination, unable to fully enjoy the scenery along the way. Using Nreal Air's AR sightseeing app, information about attractions is displayed 360 degrees around the user, while AR navigation helps visitors reach their destination smoothly.

In the telecommuting application, Nreal Air designed an AR space where users can paste information such as digital sticky notes, pictures and videos in a 360-degree space for brainstorming when meeting multiple people. The app can also be used as a telematics tool to share photos with family and friends.

MESON aims to promote Nreal Air in Japan through the application of these two AR models, as well as to increase the market awareness of the AR field itself. According to the use of the application and user feedback, the official will continue to update the service content so that it can match the actual situation of the sightseeing spots.
