Introduction to the Faculty of the University of Tokyo
First of all, let's take a look at the various faculties of the University of Tokyo. The University of Tokyo has 10 faculties, namely: faculty of law, faculty of literature, faculty of economics, faculty of education, faculty of liberal arts, faculty of engineering, faculty of science, faculty of agriculture, faculty of medicine, and faculty of pharmacy.
At the same time, the entrance examination for international students at the University of Tokyo is also different from other universities. Usually other universities need to land specific faculty disciplines, such as the Faculty of Law law. Students who need to apply for the examination at the University of Tokyo choose the preliminary courses of liberal arts class I to III and science class I to iii when making a wish.
Some small partners may have some doubts when they see this, what do these liberal arts and science categories mean? Let's let Xiaoyuan explain it briefly for everyone.
Students who first enter the University of Tokyo are required to study three types of courses in the Faculty of Liberal Arts at the Komaba Campus of the University of Tokyo during their freshman and sophomore years. In other words, all students at the University of Tokyo in the first and second year of college are not literate. The basic subjects include foreign language courses, intelligence processing courses, physical education and other courses. There are more than 30 courses for students to choose from, such as social system courses and mathematical information courses. Thematic courses are taught on topics proposed by the teacher or student.
After completing the two-year Faculty of Liberal Arts courses, students enter the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo for the later two-year professional course. For specific liberal arts and sciences, you can refer to the following pictures:
