Sega's classic racing game "Outrun" replica game basket "ARCADE1UP OutRun" was recently released, and foreign media interviewed "Outrun" biological father and famous game producer Yu Suzuki to find out.
• Outrun, released in 1986 by Sega, is considered one of the best arcade racing games in gaming history. Developed by Yukazu Suzuki and AM2, this game uses the so-called "Super Scaler" technology (which was used in Hang-On, Afterburner and Space Harrier). With ultra-fast zooming effects and smooth-moving 3D terrain, Outrun brings an exhilarating thrill that no other arcade game of the time had.
• Minutes of Hiroshi Suzuki's interview:
ARCADE1UP OutRun has a smaller footprint and is more fun than a normal size arcade.
• Although developed motorcycle as well as racing games, Hiroshi Suzuki himself prefers motorcycles somewhat.
• Outrun was developed in a reference to the classic film 1981's Cannonball Flying Car.
• Yu Suzuki and the planner at the time, Hiroshi Ishii, once went to Germany on a high-speed car to a speed of 200 kilometers per hour, and originally wanted to borrow a Porsche but could not fit the luggage of the two, so they had to borrow a BMW 520.
• Yu Suzuki was amazed by the graphics of recent racing games, which seemed to be related to the real scene, but the emphasis was more important than the fun.
• Hiroshi Suzuki is currently working on the game, but the subject matter cannot be revealed.
• Thanks to fans for their support of the previous Shenmue 3.
