5EPlay Interview with Risk: Wanting to get stronger is my motivation

As CSGO continues to grow, more and more young people are taking the stage. Their ID is not as experienced and famous as the "veterans". But they are using their own efforts to fulfill their dreams, and Risk is such a teenager.

5EPlay Interview with Risk: Wanting to get stronger is my motivation

Born in Chengdu in 2001, he only started to contact CSGO in 2019, and after 5,000 hours of training, he is now a player who can go professional.

His experience with CS-related games as a child made him fall into contact with CSGO: "I played games like CSOL in elementary school, and then when I became an adult, I saw someone playing CSGO in an Internet café and played it with it." ”

After this is the same growth process as most players, deathmatch, gun training, matching, risk uses his talent and reward to slowly stand out from passers-by, all the way to the top of the 5E ladder list.

Then familiarly selected by the professional team, Risk joined the NSN. From passers-by to professions, Risk believes that the changes are huge: "I think that in the past (before joining the professional team), it was still more dependent on marksmanship, generally the ladder is a marksmanship, since entering the professional team, there are old players with more experience." ”

"And after entering the professional team, the tactical system will give you more restrictions, and you can't fight like a ladder to fight for personal strength, you must communicate and fight."

It is worth mentioning that NSN is not the first team of risk, before joining NSN, he teamed up with his friends to participate in the qualifiers of the 5E National Cup Invitational Tournament, but in the knockout round, he was defeated by ZYSZ led by the current RA pro Mercury, and did not have the opportunity to go offline.

At that time, risk was on a team named YGZD

The rapidly improving risk qualified for the 5EPL as early as 2019, which is also the stage for him to grow, where he plays against professional players and competes with ladder masters, and his personal strength is also rapidly improving.

"I got my 5EPL qualification through Ladder certification in 2019, and now I use this as a place to hone my personal skills. It feels like the 5EPL game is still more exchangeable to win. ”

The 5EPL time after the end of each day became a routine for risk, and he had a 65% win rate and a 1.13 rating in the just-concluded 5EPL Grand Prix February. When asked what motivates him to stick to CSGO games for more than 10 hours a day, he replied: "I just like to play, I want to get stronger, this is my biggest motivation." I'm not particularly tired when I'm in a bad state, but sometimes I may play less and go see demos and povs. ”

As an Elite CSGO Arena in Asia, Risk also often competes with professional players in the 5EPL, which is "very comfortable" for him to play with these people.

"In the 5EPL, I like to be teammates with DANK1NG and somebody the most, after all, I have met and chatted with them offline, their personal ability is also strong, the atmosphere on the side is very good, and it feels like winning when chatting."

At the same time, risk believes that after the current 5EPL selection mechanism is modified, the game will be more comfortable: "After the current 5EPL selection mechanism is modified, it is also quite good for professional players to be the captain of the team." And in the 5EPL you can hit more maps, because the ladder may have more people in the Mirage, but playing 5EPL will not have this problem. ”

Currently, NSN is in fourth place in Group B

Risk's NSN team is currently competing in the ESL Challenger League S40, and they currently have a 3-2 record in Group B. Since the team was founded very recently and has undergone several substitutions, most of the time is spent with new teammates, risk also feels that this is a problem they need to solve at the moment.

"Because we've been changing people, including the previous Xiaoye (BAN), freeman is now gone, which has led to our results not being so stable. So we're training a little harder, and we're training six days a week right now. Mainly to the new players to talk about tactics, running charts is a more cumbersome, laborious process. ”

Finally, I talked to risk about other CSGO-related topics, and the professional player he admired more in his mind was ZywOo, and the team he liked more was also the Vitality where ZywOo was located.

"My favorite pro should be ZywOo, because he's a sniper like me, and then he's more stable, but he's very accurate, so he likes him very much."

When it comes to CSGO's latest map pool changes, Risk feels that for a new generation of players like them, Vertigo and Ancient are good maps.

"In 2019, when Vertigo first joined the map pool, there were several major changes, but I think this map is still quite interesting, and So is Ancient, but I feel that this map optimization is not very good, and it is easy to drop frames. For those of us new players, it feels like a map like Nuke is more inexperienced, because it is rare to play such a map on the ladder, and it is more than three old ones, and I still need to strengthen at this point. ”

The talent was my first impression of Risk, the first time I saw his ID was still at the top of the 5E ladder list, but after talking to him, I found that he was a dynamic and very hard-working teenager who wanted him to go further and further down the career path.
