Tesla and BYD both rose in price

On March 15, Tesla raised the price of some Model 3 and Model Y models:

The Tesla Model 3 afterdrive version rose by 14,248 yuan to 279,900 yuan, and the high-performance version increased by 18,000 yuan to 367,900 yuan.

The Tesla Model Y long-endurance version increased by 18,000 yuan to 375,900 yuan, and the high-performance version increased by 20,000 yuan to 417,900 yuan.

This is Tesla's second price increase in the past 5 days, on March 10, Tesla Model 3 high-performance version, Tesla Model Y long endurance and high-performance version of the three models increased by 10,000 yuan respectively, when the adjusted prices were 349,900, 357,900 and 397,900, respectively.

After two price adjustments, the price of model 3 high-performance version and Model Y long-endurance version increased by 28,000 yuan compared with a week ago, and the price increase of model Y high-performance version reached 30,000 yuan. Among all tesla model 3 and Model Y models, only the Tesla Model Y after-drive version has not yet increased its price.

Coincidentally, on the evening of March 15, BYD also issued an emergency price adjustment, announcing that the official guidance price of new energy vehicles related to Dynasty Network and Ocean Network was raised by 3,000-6,000 yuan, and the price adjustment took effect at 00:00 on March 16.

This is the second time that BYD has announced price increases since entering 2022, and BYD has carried out a round of price adjustments in January, and the official guidance prices of new energy models related to Dynasty Network and Ocean Network have been raised by 1,000-7,000 yuan respectively.

Affected by the continuous rise in international raw material prices and the decline in subsidies for new energy vehicles, the price increase of new energy vehicles this year has become a major trend. On the one hand, the price of oil soared, on the other hand, the price of new energy vehicles rose, and friends who plan to buy cars this year are uncomfortable. If there is a plan to buy new energy vehicles during the year, it is recommended to start as early as possible, buy early and enjoy early, late purchase may not necessarily have discounts, and may continue to increase prices.

BYD's many new cars were exposed

Recently, BYD's many new cars have been exposed, among which BYD Seals and frigate 07 boarded the ministry of industry and information technology new car announcement, the appearance and power parameters were exposed for the first time.

BYD Seal is positioned as a medium-sized electric sedan with a body size of 4800*1875*1460(mm), a wheelbase of 2900mm, a low-power single-motor version of 1885kg, and a four-wheel drive dual-motor version of 2150kg.

In terms of appearance, the front of the SEAL has a bit of a Porsche Taycan flavor, and the tail is a continuation of the dolphin's design language, and the high-end model is equipped with 19-inch wheels, which creates a better sense of sportiness.

In terms of power, BYD SEALs are equipped with a total of 3 power models, the maximum power of the single-motor low-power version is 150kW, the maximum power of the single-motor high-power version is 230kW, and the combined maximum power of the dual-motor version is 390kW (160kW before / 230kW after). According to previous news, the single-motor version of the SEAL may use a rear-drive layout, while the dual-motor four-wheel drive version has an acceleration of only 3.8s from 0-100km/h.

There is no doubt that BYD Seals is directed at the Tesla Model 3, the same positioning of young, sporty medium-sized electric sedan, SEAL is bound to be larger, more practical, cheaper than the Tesla Model 3, coupled with BYD's three electric technology as a guarantee, this car becomes a hit is only a matter of time.

Previously, the Tang DM-i did not have a four-wheel drive version, and the frigate 07 four-wheel drive version will fill this gap. Compared with the Tang DM-i, the appearance of the frigate 07 is more fresh, and a distinction should be made in terms of positioning, and the two models are expected to achieve a sales effect of 1+1>2.

Not only that, yesterday BYD officially announced the new BYD Han DM-i and DM-p model information, of which the DM-i model that pays more attention to fuel saving is the first time to join, its zero hundred acceleration is 7.9s, the fuel consumption of 100 kilometers is 4.2L, and the pure electric mileage is up to 242km.

The DM-p model also has a certain upgrade compared with the old model, its zero hundred acceleration is 3.7s, the fuel consumption of 100 kilometers is 5.2L, and the pure electric mileage is 202km.

Germany's new energy vehicle penetration rate reaches 24.9% in February

According to foreign media INSIDEEVs, the number of passenger car registrations in Germany reached 200,512 in February, an increase of 3.2% year-on-year, the number of new energy vehicles registered reached 49,889, an increase of 24% year-on-year, and the market share (penetration rate) was close to 25%.

Plug-in hybrids: 21,583 units, down 1% y/y, with a market share of 10.8%;

Total: 49,889 units, up 24% year-over-year and 24.9% market share.

From January to February this year, more than 89,000 new energy vehicles were newly registered in Germany, including:

Electric vehicles: 49,198 units, up 42% year-on-year and 12.8% market share;

Plug-in hybrids: 40,483 units, down 5% y/y, with a market share of 10.5%;

Total: 89,681 units, up 16% year-on-year and 23.3% market share.

The top brands in Germany in February in terms of sales of new energy vehicles are:

Mercedes-Benz: 6215 vehicles, of which 1652 are pure electric and 4563 are plug-in hybrids;

Tesla: 5944 vehicles;

BMW: 4995 vehicles, including 1698 pure electric vehicles and 3297 plug-in hybrid vehicles;

Volkswagen: 4336 vehicles, including 2859 pure electric vehicles and 1477 plug-in hybrid vehicles;

Audi: 3345 vehicles, including 1481 pure electric vehicles and 1864 plug-in hybrid vehicles;

Hyundai: 3229 vehicles, including 2407 pure electric vehicles and 822 plug-in hybrid vehicles.
