Ubuntu's new logo is released! The new logo still uses the familiar orange + white color scheme, but the usual circular style has been changed to an upright orange rectangle, with a circle of friends hand in hand placed at the bottom of the rectangle.

It can be noted that the circle of friends in the new logo (three people holding hands in the white part), the head of the person in the ring, seems to be not hand in hand but arm in arm, has a more intimate embrace, and looks more modern. The new logo was run by Marcus Hallam, a designer who revamped it in 2010. He explained that while he and Canonical CEO Mark Shuttlworth explored some "novel" ideas, they ultimately decided that "... Updating the circle of friends to a more modern look and feel" makes the most sense.

The Ubuntu character mark also reduces its bold weight to a lighter, more rounded font, capitalizing the "U" in "Ubuntu".

With the advancement of Ubuntu itself, brand style remodeling is a very normal phenomenon, this new Logo made a bold attempt, the rectangular orange label broke the traditional square or circular Logo style, it allows orange bold expression of itself, providing recognizable color marks in the media. Second, the logo transforms from a tiny upper right marker into a large, dynamic and industry-leading presence.

The new logo is scheduled to be used in the new version of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS released on April 21 and elsewhere.
