According to reports, Arsenal are among the teams with an interest in Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby in front of the summer window.
Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger wrote that Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle are all interested in Diaby.
Although there is no termination clause, his price is said to be around 60 million euros. Bayer Leverkusen is already looking for replacements, including Roma's Carles Perez.
Diaby has contributed 16 goals and nine assists to Bayer Leverkusen in all competitions this season, allowing him to be selected for the French national team.
The 22-year-old made his debut for France last September, delivering an assist in a game in November before starting his first start against Finland.
He is a left-footed player, but can also play in the position of winger or even center if needed. Good form and not much age make it a good signing for any club that wants to bring him in.
The only problem is that Arsenal really need a centre-forward, not a winger, and investing €60 million in Diaby will limit that investment.
This is not the first time Arsenal have been linked to a Bayer Leverkusen striker. Le10Sport 2020 reported that Arsenal had a good relationship with the player agent and consulted about the possibility of players joining.
Maybe Arsenal's offer for him will eventually come, but it would be surprising if that happened in the summer window.
After losing the Gunners' main goalkeeper position, Leno missed the German national team roster on the following international match day.
Overall, Arsenal will not complain about the lack of national team calls for the international break in March. Four of the Gunners' squad (Ben White, Ramsdale, Saka and Smith Ronaldo) were selected for England, Martinelli was called up for Brazil for the first time and Cedric Suarez returned to the Portuguese national team.
But for the first time since June 2019 (when he was defeated due to injury), Leno has not been called up to Germany. Neuer, Ter Stegen and Trapp were shortlisted, and there are questions about whether Leno will be able to play in the World Cup at the end of the year.
The reason for this decision is not difficult to guess. Leno has not played a single Premier League game since last August and has only made one appearance in all competitions this year, from the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Ramsdale has already secured Leno's place, and it seems unlikely that that will change. For such a goalkeeper who does not play much, Frick will definitely hesitate when choosing.
Leno's defeat means he is more likely to seek a transfer and leave the team in the summer window. Arsenal should have anticipated that, as it appeared they were ready for his departure, having booked Turner from major leagues in the winter window.
