In order to deeply explore the profound historical and cultural heritage of Guigang, carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and display the new style of Dameihe City, on March 19, under the guidance of Guigang Municipal Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, Guigang Daily Newspaper, Guigang Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Hong Kong North District Federation of Literature and Art Circles co-sponsored the series of sketching activities of "Painting the New Holland City of The United States". The sketching activity is the second phase, and the sketching team walked into the Jingtun of Qishi Township in Gangbei District to paint a new look of rural revitalization.

After the unveiling ceremony, everyone came to the Pavilion of the Hero Tree, and the teacher told the students the story of the revolutionary struggle that took place in the land of Qishi Township - the Mid-Autumn Uprising.
Mid-Autumn Uprising:
In June 1946, Liao Lianyuan was sent back to Dakai Township, Guangxi Province, by the CPC Central Committee, and in accordance with the line, principles, and policies of the CPC Central Committee, carried forward the revolutionary traditions of the local people, including the Taiping Rebellion and various historical periods under the leadership of the Communist Party, and established the Party's organizational forces in the course of struggle. On September 29, 1947, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, an armed uprising was held in Futian Village, Dakai Township, known in history as the Mid-Autumn Uprising. More than 3,500 people participated in the uprising, formed 13 anti-Japanese self-defense forces, and established party organizations in Futian Village, and then mobilized the masses to carry out revolutionary struggle with the anti-"three marches" as a cut. Since then, the revolutionary contingent has continued to grow and develop, from a guerrilla force of 500 people to a revolutionary army of 1724 people, and the insurrection team was renamed from the Dakai Column of the Chinese People's Liberation Army to the Guizhong Detachment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, with Liao Lian as the former commander and political commissar, and Wei Zhilong as the deputy commander. The Guizhong detachment has experienced 51 large and small battles, annihilated a total of 1,097 enemy personnel, liberated a total of about 300,000 people in 18 villages in Guixian, Guiping, Wuxuan, Laibin and other places, and cooperated with the People's Liberation Army to win the victory in liberating Guangxi.

Hero Tree:
The camphor tree is connected to the banyan tree, and the banyan tree grows in the trunk of the camphor tree. In the winter of 1947, when the Kuomintang militia besieged the revolutionary village (Mid-Autumn Uprising), our guerrillas and revolutionary masses repelled the enemy's "encirclement and suppression" three times in Hejingtun. However, the spring wind blows again, and after the camphor tree is burned, the banyan tree grows out from the middle of the camphor tree, just like the tenacious revolutionary fighting spirit of the revolutionaries, after the victory of the revolution, this camphor tree and the banyan tree are called hero trees by the villagers, and a monument pavilion is erected to commemorate it.
Sketching activities
After a short break, the teacher led the students to the outdoors to sketch. The students divided into two teams and began to draw in the cultural corridor and in the shade of the trees.
The sun is shining brightly in the spring, and the yellow wind chimes are blooming. The breeze blows, the flowers and leaves gently sway and dance, and even the surface of the Malay River that flows through it is sparkling.

The teacher guided the students to discover the beautiful scenery of Hejingtun and patiently guided the students to compose and depict. Some children have a god when they write a pen, and a few strokes outline the general scene, and some children are a little distressed and repeatedly revise on the drawing paper.

Painting review
The sketching activity has come to an end, and everyone has completed their own works. They placed the paintings on the ground and sat around them, waiting for the teacher's comments.
Xie Ke'an, a member of the China Artists Association, commented. In humorous and humorous language, he commented in detail from the students' brushes, color use and composition, interspersed with some painting knowledge and painting history, and interacted with them from time to time, encouraging and praising them for their continued efforts, and commenting on the scene with laughter.
After the event, the students expressed their great love for the event, and through this sketching activity, they felt the beauty of nature and learned about the fighting stories of revolutionary martyrs.
