Last year, the Sonic the Hedgehog series celebrated its 30th anniversary, and Sega plans to continue to expand the scale of the IP. The movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released in April, and a third film and a Narus-themed live-action series are also in production. To further promote the film, Sega is now partnering with Xbox.
Microsoft unveiled a Sonic-themed custom special edition Xbox Series S console and Xbox controller. This handle looks quite special and novel, divided into "Sonic Blue" and "Narus Red" versions, plus they have a furry appearance.
This console and controller cannot be purchased directly, and players can only get it through a draw, which can be followed by Xbox and retweet messages on Twitter (with #XboxSonic2Sweepstakes) or redeemed with Microsoft Credits in the United States.
Sonic Frontier, an open-world 3D platformer, will be released this holiday season for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
