A few days ago, a new internet celebrity punch card in Hunan Xiangjiang New Area was paid attention to by the media, that is, the national intelligent networked car (Changsha) test area that carries the dream of "driverless cars". What is less known is that in order to make this smart car test area more perfect, the design team behind it can be described as painstaking and put a lot of effort into many details.
The intelligent vehicle test area is designed by the Landscape and Environmental Design and Research Institute of Hunan Architectural Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as HD), and its features and highlights mainly include "the most complete scenery", "smart road" and "reliable cloud".
The so-called most complete scenery, that is, in the test area to build ADAS certification test scenarios, V2X network test scenarios, unmanned tests and other types of a total of 228 intelligent network test scenarios, intelligent car safety, efficiency, information services and new energy and other four types of tests can be completed here, but also for intelligent driving passenger cars, commercial vehicles, drones, intelligent machinery, robots, network communication providers to provide system testing services.

At present, the test area has issued four types of road test licenses for smart buses, passenger cars, sanitation vehicles, and automatic driving heavy trucks, and the test road mileage has reached 12 kilometers, which is the longest total mileage of test roads in the closed test area of the country, the largest number of test scene types, and the highest degree of market demand, especially the highway test area and the UAV test area are unique in China.
The test area also adds networks such as mobile communication base stations, DSRC networks, LTE-V2X networks and WIFI networks on the basis of traditional municipal roads, as well as communication equipment and electronic police, traffic signal networking control, and Internet of Things. Related intelligent equipment can realize the intelligent control of intersection traffic lights, network analysis of traffic flow monitoring, special vehicle monitoring, speed measurement and other functions, which can be called the most intelligent road.
In addition, a cloud control basic platform was established in the test area, and a multi-level architecture of roadside edge computing, edge cloud, and regional cloud was adopted to realize the interconnection and integration of closed test areas, open urban roads, and smart and high-speed test data, and to create a cloud control basic platform integrating R&D, testing, supervision, and operation.
Now, the test area has become a platform for four universities + a number of high-level experimental centers and training bases, accurately cultivating and exporting high-end artificial intelligence industry talents.
