If only I could live again
Author/Borges
This moment
If I could live again,
In the next life – I will try – make more mistakes,
I don't try to do it so perfectly anymore.
I'm going to let myself relax a little more,
I'm going to get stupider —more than I am now.
In fact, I'm going to do less seriously,
I'm going to be less hygienic and I'm going to take more risks
I will travel more, I will see more sunsets,
I will climb more mountains, I will swim in more rivers,
I'm going to go to more places —the ones I haven't been to.
I will eat more ice cheese and less lime beans,
I'm going to ask more real questions—less about the hypothetical ones.
Like the one among those people, I will be cautious and rich
Live every moment in my life,
Of course, I also have many moments of joy
But if I can live again,
I'm going to try just those good moments.
If you don't know - how to build that kind of life,
Then don't lose sight of the present!
I was one of those people: they had never been anywhere.
There is not a thermometer, there is not a hot water bottle,
There was not a single umbrella, nor a parachute.
If I can live again - I will travel to the light,
If I could live again – I would walk barefoot
From the beginning of spring all the way to
At the end of autumn, I will take more carriages,
I will watch more dawn, and more children's games,
If I still have life to live
But I'm 85 years old now
I knew I was going to die...
