There is an unwritten convention in the art world that galleries in an area will sometimes agree to open at the same time, so that people who come to see the exhibition can see multiple exhibitions at once, rather than visiting multiple times, which also forms a phenomenon that the popularity of exhibitions varies greatly in different months.
Since there are more exhibitions opening in March, and the exhibition period covers almost the next full month, there are relatively few exhibitions opening in April, the 'Japanese Graphic Design Exhibition I'm Possible" in Beijing, the Mocha Art Center will host "Picasso Like a Child", and the Guardian Art Center will launch the "Hong Kong Tide Play Godfather" Liu Jianwen and the "Haipai Oil Painting Master" Zhang Gongyu double exhibition.
Compared with Beijing, the exhibition in Shanghai faces more uncertainty. When sorting out the exhibition information in the article, friends in Shanghai are still constantly forwarding the news of the fight against the epidemic, and many people have been isolated at home for nearly half a month. From the initial slightly ridiculous discourse to the serious discussion, the art exhibition has also struggled repeatedly with postponements and closures. I hope that Shanghai will resume normal life as soon as possible.
In addition, international galleries in Hong Kong will present solo artists' exhibitions in April, White Cube will launch "Ibrahim Mahama: Half-Wheel yellow days", and Rossi & Rossi Gallery will launch "Double Manifesto" with Siah Armajani and Rashed Araeen.
The following is the April exhibition recommendation, spring blossoms, look forward to going out to see the exhibition!
