The event was sponsored by Dalian Dongxin Special Children's Service Center, Dalian Quality Management Association, Tianjin Jahwa United Daily Necessities Chemicals Co., Ltd., Dalian Segedi Rail Transit Equipment Co., Ltd., Dalian Oupai Technology Co., Ltd., China Lions Federation Dalian Representative Office Compassion Service Team, Dalian Angel Baby Volunteer Service Team, and was sponsored by Dalian Civil Affairs Bureau in 2020 to purchase social organizations to carry out service projects for the people - rehabilitation training service projects for people with autism disorders.
The Games kicked off with the rousing March of the Volunteers. At the moment when they heard the prelude, many autistic children, although their expressions were very wooden, stood up solemnly with their parents and sang the national anthem together.
The Games lasted for 4 hours and competed in three major events and nine minor events, including the Little Yellow Duck Adventure, the Time Tunnel Relay, the Happy Shot, and the Tetratheathlon. Coach Liu, who conducted the referee work on the spot, said that these autistic children were slow to participate in the game because of their intellectual disabilities, and those with more serious intellectual impairment needed the help of one or two parents to play, despite this, none of the children gave up halfway, fell down and got up, and continued to wait patiently for the next game when they lost, "Let us adults be very moved." ”
The theme of this year's National Day for Assisting the Disabled is "Consolidating the Achievements of the Disabled in Poverty Alleviation and Improving the Quality of Life of the Disabled". Cheng Yuzhu, director of Dalian Dongxin Special Children's Service Center, said: "The original intention of our center to hold this parent-child sports meeting is also to help people with autism disorder to actively participate in social integration activities, establish a team sports competition spirit for autistic disorders, enhance the family relationship between autistic disorders, and improve the degree of love and concern of social caring enterprises and caring people for the disabled groups." ”
