Many people think that the Red Child and Sun Wukong are not inferior, even slightly better than Sun Wukong, because he once defeated Sun Wukong and forced Sun Wukong to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva for help.
But in fact, if we talk about fist and foot kung fu and mana cultivation, Sun Wukong is far above the red child.
The forty-first time in the original book, Sun Wukong vs. Red Child, the two sides fought fiercely for twenty rounds, regardless of victory or defeat. However, the Eight Precepts of the Pig, who were watching the battle from the sidelines, could see clearly, "Although the goblins are not defeated, they only cover the barrier and have no ability to attack and kill."
In only twenty rounds, Sun Wukong had an absolute advantage, killing the red child without any ability to fight back. If he fights for another twenty rounds, or even twenty rounds, Sun Wukong will probably be able to defeat the Red Child.
So, why was Sun Wukong finally defeated by the Red Child? There are two reasons for this.
The first is the Eight Precepts of the Pig. Seeing that the red child was not Sun Wukong's opponent, Pig Eight Secret thought secretly: "No, the walker slipped away, threw a flaw for a while, coaxed the demon to drill in, and knocked down with an iron rod, and I lost my credit." So he lifted the nine-tooth nail rake and went up, which disrupted the rhythm of Sun Wukong.
Secondly, the Red Child attacked with the Samadhi True Fire. If there were no Pig Eight Precepts to fight for merit, the red child who was killed in a hurry would not have had the opportunity to use the Samadhi True Fire. However, the Eight Precepts of the Pig joined the battle, causing Sun Wukong to relax his guard, and the red child took advantage of his slackness and immediately sprayed the Samadhi True Fire.
Sun Wukong is actually not afraid of the Samadhi True Fire, but the Red Child's Samadhi True Fire is very special, not only with a fierce fire, but also accompanied by boiling hot smoke. Sun Wukong is afraid of smoke because his eyes have been smoked in the Bagua Furnace and defeated by the Red Child.
Eating this, Sun Wukong learned to be smart when he fought the red child again. In order to prevent being smoked by the boiling smoke, Sun Wukong invited the old Dragon King and agreed with him that as long as the red child sprayed the Samadhi True Fire, it would rain immediately and extinguish the Samadhi True Fire, and naturally there would be no thick smoke.
But Sun Wukong never expected that the rain that the old Dragon King fell was mortal rain, and it could not extinguish the red child's Samadhi true fire, and when the rain came, "it was like pouring oil on the fire, and the more it poured, the more it was poured."
Yes, the rain that the old Dragon King fell was not unable to extinguish the Samadhi True Fire, but it could not extinguish the "Red Child's Samadhi True Fire". If the rain of the Old Dragon King could not extinguish the Samadhi True Fire, Sun Wukong would not invite him at all, and the Old Dragon King would not help him.
The reason why the mortal rain descended by the Dragon King could not extinguish the Red Child's Samadhi True Fire, and would make the fire burn more and more vigorously, was because the Red Child's Samadhi True Fire was different from other Samadhi True Fire, and we only needed to understand how it was refined, so we could see it at a glance.
We know that the red child's father, the Bull Demon King, does not have Samadhi True Fire, nor does his mother, Princess Iron Fan, nor does He learn Samadhi True Fire? It can only be self-taught. Do red children have the conditions for self-study?
There really is. Princess Tiefan's cave house is in Cuiping Mountain, which is near the Flame Mountain, so it is likely that the Red Child was also born near the Flame Mountain, and was accompanied by fire since childhood, so it can be refined into Samadhi True Fire.
However, the fire of The Flame Mountain is different from other fires. The Flame Mountain is formed by the descending fire of the Six Dings in the Bagua Furnace of Lao Jun, so the fire of the Flame Mountain has the characteristics of the Six Ding Divine Fire, and the Red Child relies on the fire of the Flame Mountain to refine into the Samadhi True Fire, there is no doubt that his Samadhi True Fire also has the characteristics of the Six Ding Divine Fire.
Since the Liuding Divine Fire is a divine fire, it naturally has spirituality, so the Red Child's Samadhi True Fire may also have spirituality. When the Dragon King rains to extinguish the fire, the Red Child's Samadhi True Fire will naturally make itself more violent in order to avoid being extinguished, so fan rain not only cannot extinguish it, but also makes it burn more and more vigorously.
