In February this year, GAC FCA produced only 35 vehicles, down 95.83% year-on-year; sales were 134 units, down 94.64% year-on-year. In the first two months of this year, GAC FCA produced 8,20 units, down 77.5% year-on-year, and the capacity utilization rate was only 3%.
In January this year, GAC FCA sold only 1,725 units, down 31.06% year-on-year. In the past 2021, GAC FCA sold 20,123 vehicles, down 50.33% year-on-year, with an average monthly sales of less than 2,000 units.
According to the data, GAC FCA was established on March 9, 2010, jointly invested by Guangzhou Automobile Group and Fiat Group at 50:50, and its headquarters is located in Changsha Economic Development Zone, Hunan Province, and currently has two major vehicle production bases in Changsha Plant and Guangzhou Factory, with an overall design capacity of 328,000 vehicles.
On September 8, 2021, Stellantis Group issued a statement saying that GAC FCA's plant in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, will be closed and the company will focus on production at its Changsha plant.
In 2015, GAC FCA's main brand Jeep was officially localized.
In 2016, GAC FCA successively launched SUV models such as Guide, Free Light and Liberty Hero in the Chinese market, and its annual sales reached 179,900 units, an increase of 260% year-on-year.
