The online car market learned that Geely's high-end brand Lynk & Co sold 13,567 vehicles in March, up 29% month-on-month and down 17% year-on-year, and the year-on-year growth rate was much lower than Geely's overall growth rate of 1%. Cumulative sales in the first quarter were 42,425 units, down 21% year-on-year, much higher than the 4.5% decline in the broader market (the domestic narrow passenger car market) in the same period.
In the recent year, Lynk & Co launched Lynk & Co 02 Hatchback, Lynk & Co 09, etc., but the brand sales did not increase but declined, and did not promote positive sales growth. Among them, Lynk & Co 09's orders have exceeded 10,000 units before its listing in October, but in fact, the insurance volume is only 2,217 vehicles (from the whole year of 2021 to February 22), which means that about 7,000 owners have not mentioned the car, and it has been waiting for the car for nearly half a year. For comparison, the competitor Tank 500 can be mentioned in just 4 months at the earliest.
It is worth noting that due to the impact of factors such as rising raw material prices, Lynk & Co raised the price of plug-in hybrid models on April 8, ranging from 2,000 yuan to 4,000 yuan, involving models including 01PHEV, 05PHEV, 06PHEV and 09PHEV. The above price adjustment will take effect from 00:00 on May 1, and sales are expected to be slightly affected by the increase in sales price.
