According to Xinhua News Agency, on 17 July, the Information Office of the State Council held a press conference at which Hao Chun, director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, Yang Hong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chief designer of the Space Station system of the China Manned Space Engineering, and researcher of the China Academy of Space Technology, Huang Weifen, chief designer of the Astronaut System of the China Manned Space Project and researcher of the China Astronaut Scientific Research and Training Center, Sun Jun, chief mission engineer of the Space Station of the Beijing Space Flight Control Center, and deputy chief designer of the Space Application System of the China Manned Space Engineering. Zhong Hongen, a researcher at the Space Application Engineering and Technology Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced the progress of the construction of the Chinese space station and answered reporters' questions.
According to CCTV news, Hao Chun said that according to the mission plan, 6 flight missions will be implemented in 2022 to complete the orbit construction of the continental space station. The 6 missions are:
Launch of the Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft in May;
In June, the Shenzhou 14 manned spacecraft was launched, and 3 astronauts were stationed in the core module and stayed in orbit for 6 months;
In July, the space station was launched to dock with the Tianhe core module;
In October, the Montien experimental module was launched to dock with the core module, after which the three modules of the space station formed the basic configuration of the "T" shape, and the construction of the Chinese space station was completed;
Subsequently, the Tianzhou 5 cargo spacecraft and the Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft will be launched, and the Shenzhou 15 flight crew consists of 3 astronauts, who will stay in orbit for 6 months after rotating with the Shenzhou 14 astronauts.
According to the People's Daily, after the completion of the construction of the space station track this year, the project has entered the application and development stage of more than 10 years. The initial plan is to launch 2 manned spacecraft and 2 cargo spacecraft per year, and astronauts will stay in orbit for a long time. A new generation of near-Earth manned launch vehicles and a new generation of manned spacecraft will be developed.
The new generation of manned spacecraft can carry 7 astronauts, and its upward and downward load capabilities have also been greatly improved. At the same time, we are considering the development of an expanded module of the space station to create better conditions for further supporting scientific experiments in orbit and for astronauts to work and live.

The Beijing News reporter asked questions about how to achieve accurate measurement and control and ensure the safe and stable operation of the space station.
Sun Jun introduced that researchers conduct full-time monitoring of the status of space station platform equipment and astronaut health, and also strengthen monitoring and early warning of the space environment and space target collisions, and take necessary evasive measures. Since February 2022, the mainland has announced the orbit of the space station to the world for collision warning calculations by various space entities in the world.
And, according to the press conference, the current development of the Wentian Experimental Module and the DreamLand Experimental Module on the ground is progressing smoothly.

The astronaut crews of God XIV and God XV have been selected
According to Huang Weifen, at present, the Shenzhou 14th and 15th flight crews are in a very good physical and mental state and are actively carrying out relevant training and preparations.
The fourteenth and fifteenth crews will fly in orbit for six months, and for the first time, the rotation of the on-orbit crew will be implemented, and the astronauts will stay in orbit for 5 to 10 days together, and the astronaut system will face greater challenges.

The Shenzhou XIII manned mission achieved all the set mission objectives
Hao Chun said that the Shenzhou 13 crew flew in orbit for a total of 183 days, creating a record for the longest continuous flight time of Chinese astronauts in orbit, and the current three astronauts are in good physical condition and are recovering after flight at the astronaut center.
At the meeting, he first reviewed the main process of the Shenzhou 13 mission: on October 16, 2021, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft was launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, docking with the core module of the space station, and 3 astronauts were stationed in the core module. During the orbit, the Shenzhou 13 flight crew took care of and maintained the core cabin facilities and equipment as planned, carried out two outgoing activities, carried out space science experiments and technical experiments, and carried out two "Tiangong Classroom" space lectures and a series of activities.
He said that the construction of The Chinese space station is divided into two stages of key technology verification and construction, and 6 flight missions are planned, of which the main task goal of the key technology verification stage is to break through and master a series of key technologies related to the construction and operation of the space station. Since 2020, it has successfully implemented 6 flight missions, including the first flight of the Long March 5B carrier rocket, the Tianhe core module, the Shenzhou 12 and Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft, and the Tianzhou 2 and Tianzhou 3 cargo spacecraft.
The complete success of the Shenzhou 13 manned mission marked the perfect end of the mission of the key technology verification stage of the space station, and the objectives of the phase mission were fully realized, laying a solid foundation for the assembly, construction and long-term operation of the continental space station.

How does the astronaut "godhead" evaluate the god thirteen astronauts?
As a researcher at the China Astronaut Scientific Research and Training Center, Huang Weifen said that during the orbital flight, the three astronauts had a good physical and psychological state, coordinated tacit understanding, a rich and colorful life, and excellent mission completion, and they withstood the physical and mental test, as well as their ability to complete all aspects of the task. At present, they have returned to Beijing Space City and are carrying out follow-up recovery work as planned, and their physical and mental state is very good.

The pandemic will not affect the space station construction plan
Hao Chun introduced that at present, the progress of project development is generally controlled and will not affect the space station construction plan. The investment scale of China's space station plan is generally moderate, and it has maintained a rhythm that is compatible with the overall level of national economic and social development. Generally speaking, the manned space project has embarked on a development path that conforms to China's national conditions, has less investment, has developed rapidly, has achieved more results, is sustainable, and is rich in Chinese characteristics.
