Chen Hongwu, a doctor in charge of emergency care in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Anhui Provincial Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China:

Hello everyone, my name is Chen Hongwu, a doctor in charge of emergency care in the Department of Cardiology of Anhui Provincial Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China. As a member of the Shanghai Medical Team, I am currently working in Cabin A of Anhui Fang Cabin Hospital at the Renaissance Hall of Shanghai Flower Expo Park.

Today is April 21st, and I want to tell you about my experience at the Cabin Hospital.

The main role of the Fang Cabin Hospital is to conduct centralized isolation and observation of asymptomatic infected and mildly ill patients. An important part of my job is close monitoring of the patient's physical condition to identify early risk factors.

Here, we are the backbone of the Lord. There are nearly 700 patients, and I need to look at them with the team, communicate with them, answer questions for them, and monitor the vital signs of key patients to complete relevant tests.

One night, because I kept walking back and forth and talking, I felt my mouth dry and dry, and the fog on my glasses was dazzling... A dizziness struck, and I lost strength in my legs and almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, it was not a big problem, so I made a slight adjustment and continued to patrol, because there were still more than 80 patients waiting for me.

To tell the truth, my lover is busy at work, my son is going to be in the third year of high school, my daughter is coughing and wheezing very badly this time, and I am very reluctant to leave them at this time. However, as a doctor who has worked in the front line for more than 20 years, and even more as a veteran party member, I must stand up in the face of difficulties.

On my way back to my station yesterday, I remembered that in May 2002, as a doctor from the mainland who aided Tibet, I raised my right hand in the "no man's land" of extreme oxygen shortage and solemnly swore an oath under the party flag. Less than 100 words of oath to join the party, I spoke breathlessly, and my lips were all purple. When I returned from the flood relief in the summer of 2020, I changed from "angel in white" to "uncle in black".

Now this bit of bitterness, what is it?
