On the evening of April 26, GAC Trumpchi's new hybrid technology brand Julang Hybrid was officially released. "Undertaking the electrification strategy of GAC Group, GAC Trumpchi has made every effort to promote the landing of HEV and PHEV hybrid technologies. After 13 years of technological precipitation, through open cooperation and independent research and development, GAC Trumpchi has become the only brand with a dual-hybrid technology route. It is reported that Julang Hybrid has a dual hybrid technology route, covering the forward self-developed GMC dual motor series parallel hybrid system, as well as the THS power shunt hybrid system cooperated with Toyota.

From the perspective of sub-routes, the official said that the GMC dual motor series parallel hybrid system has five core advantages of high quality, low fuel consumption, strong power, quieter and ultra-smooth, and has strong scalability, covering oil-electric hybrid, plug-in hybrid, extender hybrid, and even hydrogen power system.

As the first SUV of Julang Hybrid GMC2.0, Trumpchi Film Cool also made an official appearance at the press conference. In addition to the Julang Hybrid, the 2.0ATK high-efficiency Atkinson engine + GMC 2.0 second-generation electromechanical coupling system is also available for Julang Power 1.5TGDI engine and Julang Power 2.0TGDI engine. In other words, the car will be available in three power combinations of hybrid and fuel.

Another route is for the GAC 2.0TM engine to match Toyota's latest THS power shunt hybrid system, taking into account low fuel consumption and strong power. Officially, the new second-generation GS8 dual engine series equipped with the latest THS hybrid system accelerates by 6.9 seconds.

In fact, since the beginning of this year, due to factors such as rising oil prices, hybrid models with low fuel consumption have become a popular choice in the market. According to the data of the Federation of Automobile Manufacturers, in March this year, the wholesale penetration rate of domestic new energy vehicle manufacturers reached 25.1%, an increase of 14 percentage points over the same period last year. At the same time, domestic plug-in hybrid models sold 84,000 units in the same month, an increase of 151.3% year-on-year; sales of ordinary gasoline-electric hybrid models reached 75,000 units, an increase of 62% year-on-year.

Behind the hot market, the hybrid track is also full of players. In the industry's view, in addition to the Japanese "two fields" that have occupied half of the market for a long time, the independent brand camp is also secretly exerting efforts.

Taking GAC Trumpchi as an example, as early as last year's Guangzhou Auto Show, it proposed the development strategy of "hybridization + intelligence" dual-core drive, and planned to achieve hybridization of all models in 2025, and hybrid sales accounted for more than 60% in 2030. According to reports, in addition to Yingku, gaga Trumpchi will also successively launch hybrid models of Shadow Leopard and M8 this year.

"The hybrid pattern has changed, and independent brands have ushered in a period of valuable opportunities. The independent new generation of hybrid technical parameters are not lost to the joint venture, and the technological breakthrough is mainly reflected in the three aspects of efficient engine, hybrid system integration, and pure electric mileage. Ping An Securities previously said in a research report that from the perspective of the pattern, the main opponent of the independent head enterprise in the hybrid track is the Japanese system. With the dual advantages of energy saving and power of hybrid vehicles, it will seize the share of pure oil vehicles, and is expected to create characteristic products based on a new generation of hybrid technology to achieve brand value exploration.
