On April 28, GAC Toyota bZ4X officially opened pre-sale, launching a total of 5 models of new cars, with a pre-price of 220,000-300,000 yuan after comprehensive subsidies.
This car is the first model of Toyota's pure electric bZ series and also GAC Toyota's first e-TNGA pure electric medium-sized SUV, which will be manufactured at a new new energy exclusive plant under the gac Toyota e-TNGA architecture.
Toyota, which uses dual-engine hybrid as the main force to compete in the new energy vehicle market, has a somewhat "lagging" layout in pure electric. This lag is not that the technology is not advanced enough, but that the delivery speed is somewhat slow. Nowadays, the domestic pure electric vehicle market, not only the independent brand pure electric models bloom everywhere, the new forces of car manufacturing have repeatedly refreshed the single-month sales record, and even the relatively slow BBA has entered the sales stage from last year.
The belated Toyota must come up with enough attractive strength and highlights to achieve the development of "latecomers on top". The bZ4X launched by GAC Toyota is Toyota's pioneer in the field of pure electric, and it is riveted to break its passive situation in the domestic pure electric market.
Based on the e-TNGA architecture, GAC Toyota bZ4X, which changed the style of the previous "oil to electricity" model, adopted the new design concept of Toyota's "Activity Hub", not only realized 100% restoration of the concept car in appearance, but also brought a trendy design such as a hammer-shaped shark-shaped front face and three-dimensional lightsaber taillights, and also moved infinitely closer to the sense of technology and intelligence in interior design and configuration.
First of all, a unique design is that the GAC Toyota bZ4X is equipped with an "efficient solar charging dome".
What is the purpose of the solar dome overhead? GAC Toyota gave an interpretation: by absorbing solar energy to obtain electricity to supplement the battery life, the annual electricity obtained can be used to increase the cruising range by about 1750km.
This means that if the average month is single month, each month can have an additional pure electric mileage of nearly 146km, so that the GAC Toyota bZ4X, which already has a 615km pure electric mileage, has a longer-distance breakthrough. It is reported that GAC Toyota bZ4X will be equipped with a high-efficiency three-in-one motor system and a high-performance low-attenuation battery, providing two power forms: front-drive and four-wheel drive.
Another design worth looking forward to is that the GAC Toyota bZ4X will most likely offer two driving control options for the first time.
In addition to the conventional design, GAC Toyota is actively exploring the introduction of the OMG (One Motion Grip) driving control kit, which is a combination of the racer's steering wheel and steer-by-wire system. The racing-grade steering wheel allows you to complete the steering operation without changing hands, reducing the burden on the operation process such as cornering, U-turn, and storage.
At the same time, in order to bring a better driving experience, GAC Toyota bZ4X also adopts X-MODE four-wheel drive off-road assistance mode, and is equipped with the newly developed Grip-Control intelligent creep mode to meet the needs of daily life to light off-road use.

Starting with bZ4X, GAC Toyota's electrification layout will enter an accelerated stage, and the electrification lineup will continue to expand, forming a comprehensive electrification product matrix including HEV, PHEV, and EV. GAC Toyota plans to reach nearly 60 percent of its sales of electrified models by 2025 and 100 percent by 2035.
