As an operating system introduced by Microsoft in 2001, the 233MHz requirement in the Windows XP configuration is not worth mentioning now, but what happens if it is forced to run with a device that is 233 times slower than the recommended configuration?
Today, a YouTube blogger found a 1MHz Intel Pentium CPU and tried to challenge Win XP with a processor that wasn't even enough to run Windows 3.0 in 1990.
Judging from the results, even if it is 233 times slower than the recommended configuration, this processor does complete the "feat" of booting Win XP, but it takes a full 3 hours and 10 minutes from installation to the first boot into the desktop.
After entering the desktop, the blogger also tried to open a simple application to display cpu frequencies, but the process took another 8 minutes or so and was quite unstable.
Finally, at shutdown, the processor was finally "overwhelmed", ending with Win XP's blue screen of death.
According to the blogger, trying to run a 2001 system with a processor from the last century in 2022 is really of little use, but it embodies "the insatiable curiosity of humanity."
