preface
China is one of the four ancient civilizations, with a long history and a vast territory. The mainland is also a big country of invention, and the four major inventions of ancient China, papermaking, gunpowder, compass, and printing, have a huge impact on future generations and even the world. China has been passed down for thousands of years, leaving us with many cultural heritage and precious cultural relics, but with the baptism of time, many treasures have been lost in the long river of history, and they are still missing.
Many cultural relics have lost their glamorous appearance, and in the eyes of ordinary people, these cultural relics look like broken copper and rotten iron. A lot of times the people"
There are eyes that do not recognize Jingshan Jade",
Holding treasures in hand without knowing it, he sold them as ordinary objects. In Chongqing, there were fishermen who fished 90 kilograms of iron pillars from the river, and when the scrap iron was sold for 65 yuan, experts: at least worth 300 million. What's going on here?
1. Cultural relics of the Western Han Dynasty
This iron pillar is a cultural relic of the Western Han Dynasty, an iron bridge pier, and the inscription on it is a bird seal script, which records the story of the Han Wudi emperor building a bridge on the Jialing River during the Western Han Dynasty. It is related to the development of the southwest during the Han Wudi period, when many iron piers were built to build bridges on the Jialing River. Because iron is prone to rust, few iron artifacts have survived to this day, and this pier is the best preserved iron tool found on the mainland so far.
In the history of archaeology, there are few iron artifacts excavated from 2,000 years ago, and this Western Han Iron Bridge Pier is the earliest and best-preserved engineering iron component found in the mainland so far. It is a precious physical material for the study of the history of the Han Dynasty, an important basis for the study of ancient bridge construction, and has high archaeological and cultural value. An expert once estimated that the iron bridge pier was worth at least 300 million yuan.
2. Discovery of cultural relics
This "national treasure" was found by a fisherman surnamed Chen, the discovery of the process is also very interesting, the old fishermen have been fishing on the Jialing River all year round, when the fishing net was collected this day, but how can not be pulled, and finally spent a lot of effort to catch it, the old fisherman also thought that this time must be harvested full of big fish, did not expect that the fishing net is a big iron knot, rusty, there are some regular lines on it, but it is covered by sludge, the old fishermen did not look closely. There was no way to expend so much effort, and it was impossible to return empty-handed, so the fishermen had to get it home. After going home to rinse, I found a large iron lump, which was an iron pillar, weighing more than ninety kilograms. The iron pillar was big and heavy, and the fishermen had no use in keeping it, so they pulled it to the waste collection station and sold it for 65 yuan.
In the small village in the 80s and 90s, 65 yuan was already a huge amount of money, and this matter quickly spread in the village. The cultural relics protection staff of the town's cultural relics bureau also heard the news, and immediately sent someone to find this iron pillar at the waste station, which was identified as a cultural relic, and the staff bought it back at a price of more than two hundred yuan.
Third, there is nothing unique
"It's a couple of things"
。 In 2007, in Liulin Village, Guanghan, a villager named Tang Xingfeng also found an iron knot on the side of the Shiting River, which was also an iron bridge pier from the Western Han Dynasty. At that time, he was herding cattle by the river, and found a corner of the bridge pier exposed to the water in the river, and he was curious to pick it up, but found that it was very heavy and still made of metal. At that time, people already had some awareness of cultural relics protection, and Tang Xingfeng immediately called the villagers of the same village after discovering it, excavated it together and transported it home. After cleaning, it was found that there were regular text graphics on it.
Tang Xingfeng immediately reported it to the Cultural Relics Bureau. After the appraisal and research of the cultural relics protection department, it was found that the text on the iron pillar was "Guanghan County Luojiang Bridge Pier", which was determined to be the Luojiang Bridge Pier during the Han Wudi Period, and has now been treasured by the Sanxingdui Museum, in order to thank Tang Xingfeng, the museum issued him a certificate and a bonus.
According to Liu Zhangze, director of the Deyang Cultural Relics Institute, the iron bridge pier was wrapped in an outer fan when it was found, and many fragments of the outer fan were found at the excavation site, which may not have been actually used for bridge construction due to war or other reasons, but this is only speculation and needs further investigation.
epilogue
Cultural relics are the treasures of the Chinese nation, they have witnessed the prosperity and decline of countless dynasties in ancient China, they carry the wisdom and ingenuity of China's ancestors, and they are the epitome of time left over from the long river of history. Therefore, we should enhance the awareness of cultural relics protection, avoid the destruction of these cultural relics, and contribute to the protection of Chinese cultural relics.
