On 24 June, the Pakistan Navy frigate Tuchil (hull number 261) and the Japanese sea destroyer Chunyu (hull number 102) conducted a formation exercise. The Sea of Japan was ecstatic and finally had a chance to contact China's main frigate (in fact, it was not egged [Ziwei Don't Go]).
The first of four 054AP frigates ordered from China by the Pakistani Navy, the using the Tuchirile frigate, entered service last November. The second vessel was also delivered to the Pakistan Navy not long ago. This frigate is not only the most powerful flagship of the Pakistan Navy, but also the most powerful frigate in South Asia (there is no one), second only to India's P15A/P15B Aegis in terms of overall performance, but the price ($250 million) is only a little more than one-fifth of the latter ($1.2 billion).
The destroyer "Spring Rain" is a general-purpose guided missile destroyer of the ZiChunyu class in the Sea of Japan. Interestingly, the class has the title of "Japanese 054A Frigate", which means that the combat power is comparable to that of the 054A. Well, a destroyer with a full row of more than 6,000 tons is actually equivalent to a 4,000-ton frigate, and it can only be said that the destroyer of the Japanese Sea is a bit watery!
