As everyone knows, the entire story of "May You Ten Thousand Lights" is based on a lot of real history.
Although there will be some jokes and interpretations, the overall framework and context almost truly and completely reproduce the hardships of the development of the mainland's nuclear power industry.
Just like Ye Jiaming, the core character in the second generation of nuclear power people in the play.
Although this is a fictional character, judging by the surname Ye and his resume in the play.
He was probably created after Ye Qizhen, the technical leader of the second phase of the Qinshan nuclear power project.
He is not only an expert in nuclear reactor and nuclear power engineering, but also an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the chief designer of the second phase of the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant.
The story of "May You Ten Thousand Lights" began with Ye Jiaming.
With him as the core, he guides and encourages the third generation of nuclear power people to carry on the past and forge ahead.
Although in "Promise You Ten Thousand Lights", there are constantly various professional terms and technical words that are difficult for ordinary people to understand.
However, for the overall civil nuclear power industry, there is no very systematic and three-dimensional introduction.
Even in a way, even if you see episode 18, even if you come to 2010, there is still a feeling that we have never had our own nuclear power plant.
This statement may or may not be entirely true.
Because as of today, we have entered the era of fourth-generation nuclear reactors.
Even successfully built and criticalized the world's first nuclear power plant with a fourth-generation reactor "Shidao Bay Nuclear Power Plant".
The so-called "nuclear industry" cannot be accumulated and built overnight.
Therefore, the story in "Promise You Ten Thousand Lights" is still too one-sided and subjective to some extent.
At least from the information I can find, we have been researching and discovering the nuclear industry and nuclear power as early as the mid-50s of the 20th century.
In reality, we have two major nuclear power companies, namely the China National Nuclear Corporation in the north and the China General Nuclear Power Corporation in the south.
This is also why there is a bridge section where Wu Zhichang brought Meng Xiaowei back from the south, because these two relatively independent nuclear power operating enterprises.
Naturally, in research and development and design, there is a certain difference between independence and main attack direction.
Most of the characters and stories in "May You Ten Thousand Lights" take place in the "China National Nuclear Corporation" located in the north.
Therefore, the "Qinchang Nuclear Power Plant" in the play is likely to be the same thing as the "Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant" in reality.
His location is today's Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province, a beautiful county town surrounded by mountains and the sea.
So the aerial view of the nuclear power plant that we often see in the latest plot is the No. 1 and No. 2 units in the third phase of the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant today, which is where Meng Xiaowei and Chief Wu work.
As early as when Ye Jiaming participated in the construction of the Qinchang nuclear power plant, they built a reactor type nuclear power plant called "CNP300", which is a second-generation nuclear reactor.
Later, the Qinshan No. 2 Nuclear Power Plant based on the "CNP600" reactor type, and the Qinshan No. 3 Nuclear Power Plant based on the "CANDU-6" reactor type were built.
What is different from the story and plot in "May You Ten Thousand Lights" is that the early "CNP300" and "CNP600" stacks are not completely dependent on foreign technology for construction and operation.
Take the "CNP300" as an example, which is a reactor type based on the modification of nuclear submarine reactors, which is the first generation of commercial nuclear reactor designs on the mainland.
Moreover, it was also the first nuclear reactor unit exported from the mainland, and although it did not start official operation until 2000, three more units were built and put into operation one after another.
Compared with the relatively "ancient" "CNP300", the "CNP600", which is also a second-generation nuclear reactor, is actually not so subject to people as described in the play.
He has four "autonomys" such as independent design, independent construction, independent management, and independent operation.
However, although the "CNP600" is based on the "CNP300" upgrade, it also borrows from the "M310" reactor type of the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant at that time.
It is worth mentioning that units 1 and 2 of the Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant, which began commercial transfer in 2015, also use the "CNP-600" reactor type designed more than a decade ago.
And the chief designer of this pile type is likely to be Academician Ye Qizheng, the character prototype of Ye Jiaming in "Promise You Ten Thousand Lights".
It can be said that he is one of the important figures in the history of the development of the mainland's civil nuclear industry.

The so-called "CP1000" should be the "ACP-1000" reactor type independently developed by Continental announced in 2013.
It is also the first nuclear reactor type in mainland China to have complete intellectual property rights.
From the information disclosed by this pile type, you can find almost all the content and stories told in "Promise You Ten Thousand Lights".
But before this so-called "CP1000", there is actually another "1000" that is not mentioned, he is called "CNP-1000".
This is a pile design that began in the 1990s, and should also be the prototype of the "CP1000" stacked pattern that Ye Jiaming and they first began to design in the play.
However, "CNP-1000" was later renamed "CPR-1000", which is one of the few pile types that changed its name halfway.
Although in support of the "ACP-1000" project, "CNP-1000" eventually stopped further research and development work.
However, the Fujian Ningde Nuclear Power Plant, Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant, and Guangdong Lingao Nuclear Power Plant, which began to be put into operation in 2013, still use this stopped "CPR-1000" reactor type.
It is also worth mentioning that two foreign nuclear energy companies were involved in the development of the "CPR-1000" reactor type.
They are: Westinghouse Electric in the United States and Famaton in France.
Westinghouse is a company specializing in electrical equipment, while Famaton is a nuclear reactor business.
Such reality and history also coincide with the plot of He Particle in "Promise You Ten Thousand Lights" who goes to France with the group to negotiate with the French about the transfer of the source code.
Because after these, there was the official approval of "CP1000" in the play at the Yurong tender, and there was also the final result of terminating "CPR-1000" in history in order to support "ACP-1000".
It is hard to imagine that if the development of the "CPR-1000" had not been terminated at that time, would there have been the later "ACP-1000" and today's "Hualong No. 1"?
It is also worth mentioning that in "Promise You Ten Thousand Lights", the foreign nuclear power company represented by Lin Tiancheng is likely to be the actual Westinghouse Electric Company in the United States.
The third-generation nuclear power technology they compete with Ye Jiaming should be the "AP1000" reactor type in reality.
This type of reactor currently appears to be in use at three nuclear power plants on the mainland: Zhejiang Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant, Shandong Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant and Shandong Shidao Bay Nuclear Power Plant.
From the perspective of time, the project that Lin Tiancheng will jointly promote with Ding Li in the play is likely to be one of the Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant and the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant.
Finally, I want to talk to you about the plot after "May You Ten Thousand Lights".
Although after the "Fukushima nuclear accident", the "CP1000", which should have been glorious, once again encountered a dangerous obstacle.
But this also led to the official birth of "Hualong No. 1" in the near future.
Why do you say this, because as shown in the play, although the "CP1000" has been officially unveiled, it is likely to be the same as the real "ACP-1000", and there is no "ACP-1000" reactor type that has been officially put into operation until now.
Because when the effects of the Fukushima nuclear accident faded, everything changed.
And this brings us to Meng Xiaowei's original work unit, which is the "China General Nuclear Power Group" that she came from the south.
While Ye Jiaming and others were developing the so-called "CP1000", their counterparts in the south were also working hard to develop another heap design called "ACPR-1000".
However, this is a bit of a match with the timeline in "Lights of All Your Homes".
Because as early as 2011, two nuclear industry enterprises, one south and one north, merged "ACPR-1000" and "ACP-1000" into an integrated design and named it "Hualong No. 1".
Although this famous name has not yet appeared in "May You Ten Thousand Lights".
But I believe that when Ye Qichen, Lin Qi, Meng Xiaowei and other third-generation nuclear power people really grow up, it will be the day when "Hualong No. 1" in "May You Ten Thousand Lights" be born.
Perhaps in the near future, all new nuclear power plants in the country will be the world of "Hualong No. 1".
Because this will be nuclear power technology that is 100 per cent under our own full ownership, and we already plan to export this nuclear power technology in other countries.
From the localization rate of the first reactor of engineering equipment and materials exceeded 87%, to the localization rate of units 2 and 3 of the Karachi nuclear power plant reached 100%.
The success of "Hualong No. 1" is inseparable from the hard work of nuclear power people such as Ye Jiaming, Xu Jichuan, Zhong Dagong, Ye Qichen, Lin Qi, Meng Xiaowei and so on.
It was they who developed and built the "Hualong 1" for the motherland that can resist earthquakes measuring 9 on the Richter scale, typhoons of 17 and external impacts of large commercial passenger aircraft.
