Su Shi: The supreme realm of life, there are only friends, no enemies

Su Shi: The supreme realm of life, there are only friends, no enemies

Author: Insight Annabésu

Gentlemen are harmonious but different, and villains are the same but not harmonious.

"The heart is like a ashes of wood, the body is like a boat that is not tied, ask Ru Ping's life and deeds, Huangzhou Huizhou Danzhou."

In 1101 AD, Su Shi wrote this "Self-titled Portrait of Jinshan", and then passed away unexpectedly.

In this life, Su Shi has risen and fallen three times, encountered the criticism of political enemies, and also endured bitter betrayal.

But in his heart, he never resented anyone, no matter what the situation, it was an experience for him.

If you have passed, do not ask; past grievances, relief.

01

If you have no complaints in your heart, you can be invincible.

In 1057 AD, the jingshi bieliang, the literati gathered, lively and extraordinary.

That year, Su Shi was 20 years old and Zhang Huan was 22 years old.

The two were equally young and ambitious, and when they went to Beijing to take the exam, because of the same goal, they were quickly introduced as confidants.

At that time, Su Shi was gentle and open-minded, and Zhang Huan was still a straightforward young man, and the two often traveled together, slept on their feet, and talked about everything.

At the time of the separation, Zhang Huan once agreed with Su Shi, "He made a boat trip every day, and together he would put poetry and wine on the fish." ”

Between the words, there are full of hopes and expectations for this friendship.

In 1079, when the Wutai Poetry Case broke out and Su Shi was convicted and imprisoned, Zhang Huan not only reprimanded the chancellor for him in the court, but also when Su Shi was degraded to Huangzhou and was isolated, only Zhang Huan repeatedly wrote to comfort him.

Su Shi once felt nostalgic in the letter: "Usually, Only Zi Hou (Zhang Huan) and Zi Yu (Su Rui) see the precepts very closely, and they are very bitter repeatedly. ”

But he did not expect that the simple teenager would finally become unrecognizable in the midst of the treacherous partisan struggle.

In the first year of Shao Sheng 's reign (1095), Zhang Huan worshiped xiang, personal rights reached their peak, and the first thing he did after taking office was to purge the old party, and Su Shi was naturally not spared.

But Zhang Huan was unusually cruel to his old friend.

He issued a series of demeaning orders, allowing Su Shi to flee all the way to the south, eating and sleeping in the wind, and separating his wife and children.

Until we arrived in Danzhou, Hainan.

In the Song Dynasty, being exiled to Hainan was second only to the death penalty, not to mention that Su Shi was already 61 years old at the time, and it was basically impossible to come back alive in such a desolate externalized place.

How deep the friendship was, how painful the knife behind it was.

The elderly Su Shi's heart was like ashes, and when he arrived in Hainan, the first thing he did was to prepare a coffin for himself.

Once intimate and incomparable, in the blink of an eye, it has become an enemy forced to die, and as an ordinary person, I have long hated it into the bone marrow.

Su Shi did not.

After Emperor Huizong of Song ascended the throne, the two men's situations rotated, Zhang Huan was demoted to Leizhou, but Su Shi had to order him to go north.

Zhang Yuan, the son of Zhang Yuan, fearing Su Shi's retaliation, wrote to Su Shi, euphemistically reminding him to cherish his old feelings.

Su Shi sighed, replied with a pen, and recalled that the two had a long conversation at the inn, traveled in the mountains, and helped each other...

Between the lines, there is no resentment, only remember the benefits of friends.

In his letter, he still referred to Zhang Huan as a minister, and his words were earnest:

"Shi and Xiang Xiang have been friends for more than forty years, although the sources in the middle are slightly different, and the friendship has not increased or decreased..."

At that time, Su Shi's road to the north was uncertain, Zhang Huan was lonely and insistent in the bitter cold place, both of them had passed the year of hua jia, and after the ups and downs of the eunuch sea, Su Shi had long forgiven this friend who had fallen into the well for him.

Throughout Su Shi's life, there have been several ups and downs, indulgence, jealousy and hatred, but there has never been a single hatred for anyone in his heart.

There is a saying that if there is no complaint in the heart, you can be invincible.

In this life, people will inevitably encounter betrayal and encounter the opposite of the enemy.

If you are blinded by hatred, entangled in your heart, and clinging to your feelings, you will ultimately hurt yourself.

The Buddhists have a saying, how to go up, only to let go.

There is no need to mention the things that have passed, and the things that are sad, learn to let go.

Many times forgiving others is also the fulfillment of oneself.

Su Shi: The supreme realm of life, there are only friends, no enemies

02

There is a scenery in the heart, and there is no right or wrong in the eyes.

In 1084 A.D., an old man with white hair, riding a donkey, stood silently by the river.

He learned that Su Shi was about to leave Huangzhou for Ruzhou, and he wanted to see him again.

Su Shi, who had just disembarked from the ship, saw this old man in the distance, the river breeze was gentle, his heart moved, and he quickly stepped forward and stretched out his hand: "Shi dares to meet the great minister in wild clothes." ”

The old man stepped forward to support him and smiled: "Is the ceremony for my generation?" ”

Between smiles, the ice melted.

This old man was Wang Anshi.

Once upon a time, they were mortal enemies in politics, and Su Shi was not accustomed to Wang Anshi's style, and Wang Anshi regarded Su Shi as a thorn in his eye.

Nowadays, the political storm has long gone, and the two have experienced the wind and frost on the road of life, so they have a sense of pity for each other that "life is frustrated and there is no north or south".

Several poems are sung and sung, talking about Buddhism and the Tao, past grievances, and a write-off.

At the time of separation, Wang Anshi looked at Su Shi's distant back and sighed infinitely: "I don't know if there are such people for hundreds of years." ”

Su Shi sighed, "Ten years have been around since the gong. ”

Su Shi once expressed his intention in the poem, hoping to live next to Wang Anshi in the future, but unfortunately Wang Anshi did not wait for this day.

Only two years after Su Shi left, Wang Anshi died of illness.

At this point, a long friendship of enmity and pity for each other came to an end.

The reason why this gentleman's friendship can be passed down through the ages is largely due to the pattern of the two people.

Although Wang Anshi had a political stand at odds with Su Shi, he spoke out in the Wutai poetry case, saying, "Is there a saint who kills talented people?" ”

Su Shi had been annoyed by Wang Anshi's pedantry, but still regarded him as a respectable elder.

After Wang Anshi's death, Su Shi wrote "Wang Anshi Presents Taifu":

"There will be extraordinary events, and the strangers of the world will be born, and their names will be high for a while, and they will learn for a thousand years..."

Between the words, there is no mention of political achievements, only personality, its graceful and generous brushstrokes, and the demeanor of releasing the previous suspicions, which was once passed down as a beautiful talk by later generations.

Wang Anshi and Su Shi, one highly respected and one talented, when the political gap between the two disappears, it is more like the pity of the Confidant of the Boya Period.

Even through thousands of years, this understanding is still tearful.

I heard a saying:

"Throughout the ages, all pure people have always adhered to moderation and sought truth from facts, and many times were able to exercise mercy and fairness, which is really an important criterion for measuring personality."

People who really have a big picture have no dispute between right and wrong in their eyes.

They know how to stand in each other's position, even beyond each other's position, and embrace all things with a larger vision and a broad mind.

Because I have read all the things of the world, I can understand everything; I can understand everything when I see all the ups and downs of life, and I sincerely feel that everything can be understood.

Su Shi: The supreme realm of life, there are only friends, no enemies

03

Man has lived to a certain extent, and there are no enemies in his heart, only friends.

According to the Song Dynasty Jia Xiangdao's "Yuesheng Sui Scribe", Su Shi once said this passage:

"I can accompany the Jade Emperor on the top, and I can accompany the Beitian Beggar, and there is not a bad person in the world in front of me."

This sentence is used to describe Su Shi's outlook on life, which is the most appropriate.

In this life, he has gone through ups and downs several times, but everywhere he goes, he is extremely sincere to people, so he praises him from the dignitaries and nobles down to the people at dawn.

He was generous to his friends.

There was a man named Han Zongru, who often corresponded with him, this person had a small official position, but he liked to eat mutton, and he only had enough to eat a few meals a month.

He accidentally learned that the famous general Yao Lin loved Su Shi's calligraphy, so he exchanged Su Shi's letter for meat to eat.

Unexpectedly, a letter was exchanged for ten pounds of lamb.

Han Zongru was overjoyed, and whenever his mouth was hungry, he rummaged through the boxes and cabinets to find Su Shi's letters to exchange for meat to eat.

Su Shi was not angry when he learned of this, but just smiled, and only waited until Han Zongru's letter came again, and humorously replied: "Today's cold food, cut off the slaughter." ”

In just a few words, the humor shows affection for friends.

He treats people sincerely.

According to some statistics, Su Shi has been belittled more than 17 times in his life, but every time he goes to a place, he can concentrate on serving the people and mingling with the locals.

In Xuzhou, he fought the flood day and night to save the people of a city.

In Hangzhou, he dredged the West Lake and built the Su Causeway, which eliminated the thousand-year-old flood in Hangzhou.

When he was in Huangzhou, he and the local farmers repaired canals, dug wells, planted seedlings, went to the city with them to listen to books, drink wine, and stayed drunk until they returned drunk, and the children of a friend's family blew green onions and leaves for him.

When he was in Hainan, he and his son taught and copied books in a grass hut, making this barbaric land, "the sound of books is loud, and the strings are everywhere." ”

He has a pure nature throughout his life, always keeps his original intention, will cry for the starving children on the side of the road, and will also feel sorry for the suffering of the world.

There is a cloud in the Tao Te Ching: "The good is like water, and the water is watered by all things without dispute." ”

A man has lived to a certain extent, and everything is his friend.

Seeing all beings in heaven and earth as equal, and treating others with an undifferentiated heart, this is a kind of penetrating wisdom and a very high realm.

Su Shi: The supreme realm of life, there are only friends, no enemies

The Bible says that if you want to remove the thorns from others, you must first remove the beams in your own eyes.

Ordinary people are prone to cling to inherent prejudices and cling to temporary right and wrong.

The higher a person's realm, there are no enemies in his eyes, and everyone in his eyes is a friend who crosses me.

Give it a thumbs up, be kind, open-minded, and live a self-assured life.
