Qing Yang Shoujing commented on this stele: "The square is majestic, there is no lack of head and tail, and it is especially important to treasure." Kang Youwei said: "Shu Gong has "Xi Narrow Song", "Kong Zhou", and "Zhang Shou". In fact, if we talk about slacking, "Kong Zhou" and "Zhang Shou" are difficult to compare with "Xi Pan". "Kong Zhou" is inherently "sparse", "tang" is not, and Zhang Shou is sparse and disproportionate.

The Ode to the Western Narrow Is Indeed a rather unique genre in the Han Tablets. It is not as dignified and elegant as "Huashan" and "Shi Chen"; nor is it as warm and beautiful as "Cao Quan". It does not dwell on the stability of strokes and knots. Instead, it shows a kind of super-maturing and high-level interest from the arbitrary writing, or the turning of the square or circle, and the loose and easy structure. The roughness of the mountain fields and the rough stone surface of the cliffs also contribute to the formation of this interest.

The style of this monument is very high. The brushwork is also different from the general. For example, two "Han" characters are different from each other. Every stroke of every word has subtle variations, and it can be said that each stroke has no monotony, poverty or sense of similarity. There are also ups and downs within a point. Coupled with the majesty of the strokes and the grace and generosity of the knots, it looks very elegant.
