The B-segment is one of the most popular models on the market, and it can meet the various travel needs of users in terms of body size and power performance. Here we have to mention SAIC Volkswagen Passat, since its entry into the Chinese market, it has become the first choice for many consumers.
Recently, it was reported that the new Volkswagen Passat will be released on August 31, and the new car will be launched in Europe in the first quarter of 2024, unfortunately, the new Passat will no longer be launched in Europe, and only the station wagon version, the production place will not be in Germany, but Slovakia. The new car will be based on the MQB Evo platform and is expected to retain only the touring version after launch.
Judging from the breaking pictures given on the Internet, the new car adopts the latest design language of the Volkswagen family, the headlight group is slender, and the matrix LED headlights can be optional, and its high beams can illuminate the road up to 500 meters ahead. In the middle of the headlight cluster is a slender air intake, while the lower part of the front of the car adopts a large-mouth center net, which looks very imposing. The lower enveloping sides are designed with deflectors to improve aerodynamics.
In terms of power, the new model will be available in four power modes: gasoline, mild hybrid, diesel, and plug-in hybrid, with a comprehensive output of 105kW and an electric cruising range of 120 kilometers. In terms of interior, the new Volkswagen Passat adopts the latest family-style floating screen design, and is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch center display, and it is reported that the new car can also be optionally equipped with a 15-inch center control screen and HUD head-up display system.
It is worth mentioning that Volkswagen has previously confirmed that it will stop producing the Passat sedan version (the domestic counterpart "Magotan "), and in the future, the European market will only retain the touring version (the domestic counterpart "Weilang"). This means that the new generation of Passat sedans will only have a touring version, and the domestic sedan version may become a special model in China.
