Han Qi
Han Qi,Zi Zhi Gui (稚桂), Courtesy Name Gansuo (赣叟), a native of Anyang, Xiangzhou, was a famous prime minister and lyricist of the Northern Song Dynasty.
Born in the first year of DaZhongxiangfu (1008 AD) and the fifth year of Tiansheng (1027), the twenty-year-old Han Qi was a jinshi in the examination, and successively served as a general, a push official of Kaifeng Province, and a right counselor, and was once ordered to go to Shudi to help the victims.
In the second year of Baoyuan (1039), the Western Xia declared independence, triggering a three-year-long Song-Xia War, Han Qi and Fan Zhongyan led an army to resist, and the two were quite prestigious in the army, and were known as "Han Fan".
Soon, Han Qi, Fan Zhongyan, Fu Bi and other important ministers jointly presided over the implementation of the "New Deal for celebrating the calendar".
Later in the reign of Emperor Renzong of Song, Han Qi became chancellor.
After Emperor Yingzong of Song ascended the throne, Han Qi tried his best to reconcile the contradictions between the emperor and the empress dowager, and played an extremely important role during this period.
Shortly after Emperor Shenzong of Song ascended the throne, Han Qi resigned from the official position of chancellor and became a magistrate, and later served as an envoy of Yongxing Jiedushi, Situ and a lieutenant official, and was given the title of Duke of Wei.
In the eighth year of Xi Ning (1075), Han Qi died of illness at the age of sixty-eight.
Han Qi has assisted three generations of emperors, served as prime minister for ten years, and made immortal merits for the prosperity of the Northern Song Dynasty, scrupulously fulfilling his duties during his tenure, being diligent in government and loving the people, and promoting "the dynasty to move to the Qingming Dynasty, and the world to be happy".
Ouyang Xiu
Ouyang Xiu praised Han Qi so much:-"Tired of Ouyang Xiu, how dare you hope for Han Gong." ”
The gist was, "A hundred Ouyang Xiu together are not as good as one Han Qi." ”
When Shi Jie compiled the Records of the Three Dynasties, he asked Han Qi for advice, and Han Qi believed that there were several things that could not be recorded.
One of the things is that Song Taizu often postponed the early dynasty because he was infatuated with a beautiful palace girl.
This incident triggered the discussion of the courtiers, and Song Taizu was greatly remorseful, so he killed the palace girl.
Han Qi believes that Song Taizu indulged in beauty, but he wanted to kill innocent palace women, which was not enough for future generations to follow.
Shi Jie thought that Han Qi was quite far-sighted, so he deleted some similar paragraphs.
Han Qi was not alarmed, and had the demeanor of a general.
The "Turtle Book of Words and Deeds" records: "Han Wei led the four roads to solicit and was stationed in Yan'an County. Yuan Hao Kou was on the side, and suddenly someone carried a dagger to the bed, and the drapery tent was folded..."
When Han Qi was serving as an envoy to the Four Roads, he was stationed in Yan'an County, when the Western Xia chief Yuan Hao repeatedly invaded the borders of the Great Song Dynasty.
One night, an uninvited guest suddenly broke into Han Qi's bedroom.
Han Qi sat up and asked who the man was, and the man said, "I am the assassin who came to kill you!" ”
Han Qi didn't hurry and said, "Who sent you?" ”
The Assassin replied, "Zhang Xianggong sent me here." ”
Zhang Xianggong was an official of the Western Xia Dynasty, Zhang Yuan, who served as a military division and Xiangguo, originally a Song Dynasty man, and later rebelled against the Song Dynasty and surrendered to Xia.
Han Qi then lay down and said, "Take my head and go back!" ”
The assassin said, "I can't bear to do that, I hope to get the gold belt of the adult, I am already very satisfied." ”
The Assassin then hurried away with a golden belt.
When Han Qishu was guarding Dingzhou, he wrote a letter one night and asked a soldier to hold a torch for him to illuminate.
The soldier was absent-minded, his eyes were scattered everywhere, and he did not pay attention, and the candle lit Han Qi's beard.
If he had a temper tantrum, this soldier would have lost his life, but fortunately he had met a generous commander.
Han Qi hurriedly slapped his sleeve through, and finally it was destroyed, and then he did not move and continued to write letters.
Han Qi glanced back by chance and was shocked to find that the soldier holding the candle had changed into a different person.
Han Qi realized that this soldier was going to be unlucky, and the guard commander must whip this soldier.
Han Qi then shouted at the captain of the guards and said to him, "Don't blame that soldier, he already knows how to raise a torch!" Since then, the generals in the army have all admired General Han's generosity.
When Han Qi was an official in the Daming Mansion, a man offered two jade cups, claiming that a farmer had found it in an abandoned tomb while ploughing the fields.
The jade cup "has no flaws in the surface to refer to", and Han Qi concluded that it was a unique treasure, so he rewarded the treasure giver a hundred taels of silver, and has been worshipping the treasure ever since.
Every time when the guests were invited, Han Qi would deliberately set up a table, spread the brocade coat, and then take out the jade cup and put it on it for the guests to enjoy.
One day, Han Qi summoned cao envoys and planned to pour wine with a jade cup for the guests.
A small official accidentally knocked over the jade cup, and as a result, "the jade cup was shattered", and the guests present were greatly shocked, and the small official bowed to the ground, waiting for Lord Han to punish him.
However, Han Qi "did not move", smiling and saying to the guests present: "The items are either well preserved or damaged, they are all fixed!" ”
Han Qi turned back to the little official and said, "You were careless and didn't mean to break it, so what is the crime?" ”
The little official was thankful for his kindness, and he could not afford to bow down, and all the guests present were impressed by Han Qi's generosity.
