CCTV News: On September 24, CNOOC announced that the Kenli 6-1 Oilfield Drilling Development Project, a 100-million-ton oilfield development project off the mainland, has been completed. At present, the oilfield has reached the scale of nearly 10,000 cubic meters of crude oil per day.
Kenli 6-100 million ton oilfield is located in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea, with proven geological reserves of more than 100 million tons, which is the first 100 million ton lithological large oilfield discovered by the low-convex shallow exploration and discovery of the north of the Bohai Sea on the mainland. Its drilling development project consists of 3 blocks, and 9 drilling platforms have completed a total of 177 wells, which is the largest, shortest and most platform development project of offshore drilling in mainland China so far.
The project adopts domestic independent research and development of drilling equipment "Xuanji" system, intelligent completion and horizontal open-hole well segmented filling integration technology and other technologies, and a number of domestic process technologies have reached the domestic leading level.

The completion and commissioning of Kenli 6-1 oilfield not only marks that China has successfully mastered the non-integrated large-scale oilfield development technology system, but also the application of a series of independent new technologies and equipment in the development of this oilfield, especially the large-scale application of the rotary guided drilling and logging technology "Xuanji" system independently developed by CNOOC, which is of great significance to increase the intensity of offshore oil and gas exploration and further improve the independent and controllable offshore oil and gas exploration and development technology and equipment system.
As a revolutionary and subversive technological breakthrough in the field of mainland oil drilling and logging, the "Xuanji" system has achieved a full range of large-scale applications in Kenli 6-1 oilfield, accurately controlling the drill bits several kilometers underground to "target" the oil layer and "smell" the oil smell to drill.
The success rate of the "Xuanji" system in the project increased to more than 95%, helping to speed up the project by 26.21%. Compared with the use of foreign rotary directional drilling and logging while drilling technical equipment, the cost per meter of drilling is reduced by about 28.6%. While helping to reduce costs and increase efficiency, the stability and reliability of tools have been further improved.
