In fact, as early as half a month ago, I predicted that these people would jump back. This is not a precognitive ability, but based on my judgment of these intellectuals.
They are typical intellectuals who said Chairman Mao said, "The line is wrong, and the more knowledge, the more reactionary." They talk about freedom, but they are extremely afraid of the masses of the people, self-centered egoists.
The apologies of these people are not at all of the concern of the masses of the people, because these hypocritical apologies are not rare among the masses of the people.
In addition to the Wu Yifan incident, some other well-known figures such as Ma Weiwei and Liuliu also showed similar attitudes. One of the most notable is Jiang Fangzhou, because she is a member of the post-90s generation.

They are intellectuals who are detached from reality and self-centered, and they are supported by connections, origins, and teachers.
They do not care at all about the interests of the state, the system and the masses of the people, they only care about the power and interests in their hands.
The reason why they don't go to be Americans is because they only care about the right meal, only about their own interests. If they were Americans, Indians, they would definitely do something similar, because they see themselves as elites, special people, and do not accept any constraints.
So, when they come out and apologize, we don't have to pay attention to it at all. Their apologies are not worth mentioning, let alone the slightest bit of trust in their words and actions.
This is an opposition of worldviews and values. We have a different outlook on life and a different stance with them. We cannot expect them to look out for our interests, because they do not belong to our class at all.
