Now, Jews are growing at an alarming fertility rate. It is not uncommon for a family to have five or six children, and in the early days of Israel, there were fewer than 650,000 Jews. In just a few decades, that number has doubled tenfold to seven million. At their current fertility rate, it may take only thirty years for the global Jewish population to exceed 20 million.
However, population growth does not mean that they can ignore the challenges they face. Israel's relations with Palestine, territorial disputes, water scarcity and tensions with Arab countries are all difficulties they must face.
