In the past, building a building needed to rely on manual "moving bricks, rolling steel bars, and pouring cement", but now, technicians only need to press the keyboard, and the "smart brain" will digitally deploy various robots for precise construction. This is no longer a fantasy of science fiction, but a real transformation that our construction industry is experiencing. For a long time, the construction industry has been considered labor-intensive and low-tech, but now, "built in China" is accelerating towards "smart upgrading".
Standing high in the sky of Chengdu Science and Technology Innovation Ecological Island, I can see skyscrapers rising from the ground and machines roaring continuously. This is the construction site of the first batch of intelligent construction pilot projects in Chengdu, located in Tianfu New District. Arc-shaped buildings of varying heights and sizes are scattered along both sides of Zizhou Avenue in Chengdu, surrounded by the Luxi River and Xinglong Lake. Entering the project command center, I was shocked by the digital application results presented in front of me, such as digital sand table, multiple monitoring screens, BIM (Building Information Modeling) experience, VR fire prevention experience and other applications.
These applications make the design blueprint a reality. Cui Gang, the project leader of the six batches of Chengdu Science and Technology Innovation Ecological Island, said that through the in-depth application of BIM, intelligent construction and digital construction of the smart construction site platform, the project took the opportunity to become the first batch of intelligent construction pilot projects in Chengdu. The smart command center integrates 28 modules, such as digital sand table, smart supervision and digital application, and establishes a digital "smart brain" for project management, which can efficiently manage project performance. For example, in super high-rise buildings, tower crane operation has always been considered a more dangerous job, but now project managers can monitor the status of tower crane operation in real time through the tower crane monitoring module, including lifting weight, height, angle, wind speed and other parameters, so as to achieve multi-machine anti-collision warning and ensure the safe operation of tower crane.
In addition to the intelligent control of the building structure, all-steel hydraulic climbing formwork, a number of indoor intelligent construction robots have also appeared on the construction site of the Chengdu Bailuwan Digital New Economy Science and Technology Innovation Park project.
After the concrete pouring is completed, the four-wheel laser ground leveling robot realizes unmanned autonomous movement and high-precision leveling construction through intelligent laser leveling algorithm and wire-controlled chassis technology; After the initial setting of concrete, the crawler trowel robot uses cruising technology and intelligent swing arm algorithm to lift and close the surface of the ground. Before the final setting of concrete, the four-disc ground trowel robot polishes the ground... More and more of these robots are appearing on various construction sites.
In recent years, the central and local governments have successively issued a number of supporting policies to accelerate the development of intelligent construction. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Coordinated Development of Intelligent Construction and Construction Industrialization" in July 2020, which clearly stated that by 2025, it is necessary to promote the formation of a number of leading enterprises in intelligent construction, lead the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises to intelligent construction, and create an upgraded version of "built in China". In 2035, the core competitiveness of "Built in China" will be in the leading position in the world, the industrialization of construction will be fully realized, and intelligent construction will make the mainland a world power in intelligent construction. In subsequent documents, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the National Development and Reform Commission put forward the goal of cultivating 100 intelligent construction industrial bases, building a number of construction industry Internet platforms, and forming a series of landmark products of construction robots by 2030. According to relevant research data, by 2025, the expenditure on the digital transformation of China's construction industry is expected to reach 607.3 billion yuan, with a compound annual growth rate of 11.3%.
Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Wuhan and other places have successively issued and refined relevant implementation opinions. The "Work Plan for the Construction of Shenzhen Intelligent Construction Pilot City" issued by the Shenzhen Municipal Government pointed out that by the end of 2023, Shenzhen will initially form a coordinated development system of intelligent construction and construction industrialization, and by the end of 2025, no less than 100 intelligent construction pilot projects will be implemented. Similarly, the "Key Points of Suzhou 2023 Intelligent Construction Promotion Work" proposes that by the end of 2023, all housing construction projects with a single construction area of more than 50,000 square meters in the city will fully use construction robots to assist construction.
An industry insider said: "The mainland is a big country in construction, and the construction industry has created many firsts in the world. However, we are also facing problems such as production safety, environmental pollution, lack of talent and low production efficiency. Promoting the deep integration of informatization and industrialization in the field of engineering construction and realizing intelligent construction is the only way for the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry. Wu Huijuan, vice president of the Construction Industry Association, said that it is necessary to vigorously promote the technology, management and business innovation of the construction industry, accelerate the integration of traditional construction industry and advanced manufacturing technology, information technology and energy-saving technology, and promote industrial transformation and modernization of the construction industry under the promotion of innovation.
Wu Huijuan also said: "China's construction industry has broad prospects for digital applications, and digital transformation has great potential. In the next step, we should continue to deepen digital industrialization and industrial digitization, strive to build an ecosystem of digital transformation, and realize the smooth operation chain of the whole industry, supply chain and service chain. At the same time, it is also necessary to accelerate the training of high-end skilled talents to provide support for the digital transformation and upgrading of the industry. ”
