The 1.0 gel pen (signature pen) is currently the thickest nib in the daily writing pen, it is characterized by a smooth flow of ink, not easy to control, especially when writing slender strokes, especially not easy to grasp.
Therefore, many friends who are used to writing 0.5 and 0.7 are not Xi when they use 1.0, especially when they press to turn and pause the pen to strike. Everything is difficult at the beginning, and it does take a proper stage. The reason why Baoyong insists on suggesting that everyone should use 1.0 as much as possible is because the advantage of thick pen writing is huge. As long as you master the skills of using the pen and Xi the rules of writing, a thick pen can write fine words, but you use a thin pen, it is difficult to write thick strokes. Therefore, writing 1.0 is very powerful for the later generations to take the Fa ancients and write small letters and inscriptions.
So how can you write thinner strokes with a gel pen 1.0? I summarize it into three points:
(1) The pen should be upright. When we usually write normally, the angle between the direction of the pen and the horizontal plane is about 60 degrees to 75 degrees. When writing small strokes, be sure to put the pen up a little straighter, about 80 degrees. Why put it up? Because the nib of the gel pen is a sphere, when it is erected, it can make it contact with a smaller area, and the ink flow will not dry out. Another reason is that when we press and throw, the more vertical the pen, the easier it is to control its direction and strength sensitively, which is very important.
(2) The little finger should be propped up. The key to the movement is to tense the little finger and the thick part of the outside of our palm (the part that touches the desktop paper) to support the fingers and wrists of the pen. Why? One reason is the need to hold the pen vertically, and the other is to make the grip a little tighter and firmer. Writing thin strokes is like embroidery, and it requires more sensitive control of the pen with moderate muscle tension. This is also an important skill.
(3) Use a pen to erase and write quickly. Let's talk about light rubbing first, the thickness of the strokes is mainly controlled by strength, so this clear is the strength of this piece to be light, light to be fine. And fast writing, that is, the pen must be fast, the speed must be fast, and you can't fall in love. The slower the speed, the more ink will be used per unit of time, and the thicker the strokes will naturally be. The writing process is generally carried out from heavy to light to heavy to light, and it is repeatedly crossed, so that it is convenient to write the ancient meaning similar to a brush. It should be emphasized that when the thick and thin strokes are alternately interspersed, a natural connection is needed in the middle, and the connection must be natural and smooth to prevent large jumps and dissonances.
These three aspects of skills need to be experienced more in our daily training. Everyone should always think about these three sentences in their hearts, and constantly solidify them into writing Xi through a large number of high-intensity, high-frequency training.
