The first time I traveled to Portugal, I didn't say anything unpleasant, and I talked about my real experience
Under the blue sky and white clouds, embark on the trip to Portugal of your dreams. Far from the bustling city, I came to this land embraced by the Atlantic Ocean, full of anticipation and curiosity. Portugal, a country full of history, cultural heritage and natural beauty, has given me not only beautiful scenery, but also many unexpected and emotional moments.
My first stop was Lisbon, a city full of sunshine and energy. Walking through Piazza Tomar, I felt the unique warmth and unrestrainedness of the Portuguese people. The street performers around them show their love of life with traditional flamenco dancing and melodious guitar sounds. I chatted with an elderly Portuguese man who told me that the people here are hospitable and always willing to share their stories and cuisine with strangers.
Through the narrow lanes, I came to the castle of St. George. The castle sits on the highest point of the city, overlooking the whole of Lisbon. In the distance, the Tyne River wraps like a blue ribbon around the city's waist, and the castle's ancient walls seem to tell stories for hundreds of years. In this land of history, I can't help but fall into the contemplation of the past.
In the tavern under the castle, I tried the authentic Portuguese paella. The aroma of fresh seafood and rice is intertwined, leaving me with a long aftertaste. This sumptuous dinner not only satisfied my taste buds, but also brought me closer to the local culture.
The rest of my trip took me to Porto, a world-famous wine capital. Along the vineyards on the banks of the Dora River, I wandered through the old cellars. Portugal's wines are known for their rich taste and unique flavors, and every drop of wine is like a beautiful story about the land.
Talking to a young Portuguese winemaker, I learned that the craft of winemaking here has been passed down from generation to generation, and that every bottle of wine contains their love for Portuguese culture. I was immersed in the aromas of wine and experienced the Portuguese people's deep understanding of life.
Then I came to Faro, a quiet and tranquil fishing village. The architecture here feels like it has stepped back in time and exudes a long history. I tasted the local grilled fish at a small restaurant by the sea, and while enjoying the food, I listened to the sound of the waves crashing on the reef, as if the whole world had become peaceful and beautiful.
In the fishing village of Faro, I met a young fisherman who told me about his deep affection for the sea. He told me that in this land, every fisherman has his own story, and every time he goes out to sea is an adventure into the unknown. His story touched me deeply and made me think more deeply about life.
Finally, I came to the Algarve region in the south of Portugal. The golden sands, crystal clear waters and sunny skies make for a stunning picture. I was immersed in the warm sunshine and felt the pampering of nature.
In the Algarve, I got to know a young surf instructor. He told me that the surfing culture here is deeply embedded in the lives of the locals, and that every wave is a test of courage and wit. I learned some surfing skills from him and released the pressure in my heart in the embrace of the waves.
Stepping on the return flight, I reminisced about my journey in Portugal. In this country full of stories and flavors, I not only experienced the beautiful scenery, but also the passion and love of life that are unique to the Portuguese. Every encounter is a fantastic adventure, and every experience is a wonderful chapter about Portugal.
During this journey, I felt like I became a part of the story, intertwining with the land. Portugal is not only a travel destination, but also an immersive and unforgettable dream place. Perhaps, on the next trip, I will continue to look for my own story in this land.
