Wang Guozheng, born on August 25, 1944 in Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province, graduated from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1969 with a bachelor's degree, researcher, national first-class artist, member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the China Folk Literature and Art Association, member of the China Folklore Society, graduate tutor of fine arts of the Chinese Academy of Arts, president of the Shaanxi American-Chinese Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute, artistic director of the Midwest Cultural Exchange Center, winner of the 1999 Chinese government's highest award for social and cultural affairs, and the winner of the Most Influential Person Award in Shaanxi Province.
