Distribution of companies participating in the winning bid
According to the statistics of Infrastructure Connect, the winning bidders of the airport project in 2023 are divided by the group to which they belong, and the seven major construction central enterprises and their subsidiaries participated in the bidding for the airport project, and the amount of the bidding of each construction central enterprise is as follows:
It can be seen that the amount of projects won by China State Construction is unbeatable, exceeding 50 billion yuan. Its main participating units are mainly secondary engineering bureaus such as China Construction Eighth Bureau, Third Bureau, Second Bureau, and Fourth Bureau.
As the leading engineering bureau in China State Construction Group, China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau has undertaken the construction of more than 80 large-scale airport terminals, and is the enterprise with the largest number of general contracting terminal buildings and airport road projects in China. In February 2020, the engineering bureau also established Beijing Jingang Road Construction Co., Ltd. through equity acquisition, which is the only professional company in China State Construction Co., Ltd. for airport road construction, actively participating in airport transportation construction and continuously increasing the transformation and upgrading of the group's infrastructure business. China Construction Third Engineering Bureau has also undertaken and participated in the construction of more than 70 airport projects, covering 2/3 of the country's gateway hub airports, 7/8 regional hub airports, 7/12 trunk airports, as well as Pakistan, Cambodia and other multinational gateway airports, its performance is not abundant. After years of deep cultivation, China Construction Second Engineering Bureau has continued to enrich its airport performance, continuously developed the airport business in important cities, and continued to light up the group's airport professional engineering brand, further highlighting its business advantages.
China Railway has also participated in the construction of airport projects of more than 15 billion yuan, and a number of its engineering bureaus are also deeply involved in business development. For example, its China Railway Beijing Bureau, formerly known as China Airport Construction Corporation, is also a proud "heirloom" of the airport major, in recent years, it has included the creation of airport construction characteristic brands in the "14th Five-Year Plan" development plan, in the dynamic environment of maintaining the competitiveness of the airport construction field, deeply cultivating the airport sector, strengthening strategic cooperation, monitoring key projects, constantly laying out new areas, opening up new tracks, and striving to win development opportunities.
In September 2018, China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd. joined forces with Capital Airport Group, China Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group Corporation (Planning and Design Institute), Shanghai Civil Aviation New Era Airport Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Northwest Civil Aviation Bidding Consulting Co., Ltd., etc.7 China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd. has become the only central construction enterprise to participate in the restructuring of airport construction enterprises. The Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group of China will be restructured into a joint stock limited company, and other construction enterprises affiliated to the Civil Aviation Administration of China will be merged into the joint-stock company to become its wholly-owned subsidiary. CCCG's existing airport construction-related businesses have also been incorporated into the joint-stock company, and CCCG has become the largest shareholder of the joint-stock company. The joint-stock company has also become the main force of CCCG's airport business, and has further expanded CCCC's market share in the field of airport construction.
There is also PowerChina Group is also making efforts in the field of aviation airports, such as its platform company specializing in airport construction, PowerChina Airport Construction Co., Ltd., which is the power construction shares, the 16th Bureau of Hydropower, PowerChina East China Institute jointly invested and established, integrated the airport construction performance of PowerChina Group, inherited the strong strength accumulated by the 16th Bureau of Hydropower to participate in airport construction for nearly 40 years, and gathered domestic and foreign airport construction talents of PowerChina Co., Ltd., becoming a pioneer team of PowerChina in the field of airport aviation, and establishing a brand image for PowerChina in the industry.
