What is regular training
Regular training refers to the standardized training of resident doctors. Through clinical practice, we cultivate senior talents with high theoretical professional knowledge and operational professional skills, provide excellent talents for lower-level hospitals, and alleviate the employment pressure of medical students.
Background of the training
As early as the 80s of the last century, the mainland began to learn from the standardized training system of residents in Western countries, and began to pilot work in China. In 1993, the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China issued the "Notice on the Implementation of the Trial Measures for the Standardized Training of Clinical Residents", so the single pilot work of standardized training of residents was gradually explored in various provinces across the country. It was not until 2009 that the Ministry of Health issued the Standards for Standardized Training for Resident Doctors (Trial), which clearly stipulated the duration of regular training and other detailed rules, which marked the improvement of the standardized training system for resident doctors in China. It was also from this time that the system of regulation and training was fully developed throughout the country.
Tianjin, Shanghai, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Beijing, Zhejiang and other qualified regions have launched and implemented standardized training for local residents in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2011, 2012 and 2012 respectively in accordance with the national deployment.
It also clearly requires all clinicians with a bachelor's degree or above to receive standardized residency training.
In December 2013, seven departments, including the former National Health and Family Planning Commission, issued the "Guiding Opinions on the Establishment of a Standardized Training System for Resident Doctors" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guiding Opinions"), marking the beginning of the national promotion of the establishment of a standardized training system for resident doctors in mainland China.
However, taking into account the unbalanced economic and social development of the country and the fact that the basis of standardized training for resident doctors is quite different, the "Guiding Opinions" does not implement a one-size-fits-all approach, but stipulates: "In 2015, all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) will fully launch the standardized training of resident doctors;
By 2020, a standardized training system for residents will be basically established, and all clinicians with a bachelor's degree or above who are new to medical positions will receive standardized training for residents", and all localities will be allowed to use 2020 as a transition period for the establishment of a standardized training system for residents.
Is it necessary to regulate training?
Now there are different opinions on whether it is necessary to regulate training. However, after graduation, it is an inevitable process to enter clinical work training.
At present, the training is complained by most medical students, the most tiring work done in 3 years, with a disproportionate income from paying, and compared with other peers, they have gained a firm foothold in their own fields.
However, there are also some students who can still gain a lot in the regular training, they have met the teachers who are attentive to the guidance, and they have been well guided in this special stage of the transition from medical students to doctors, and they have successfully embarked on the road of medicine. He can calmly deal with the problems encountered in his medical career in the future.
Target and duration of training
Who needs to be trained and how long is the training last?
First of all, we should understand that the training is still a matter arranged by each province according to the relevant national policies, so there may be certain differences in different provinces, and the implementation of each hospital is not the same.
There are three types of trainees:
1. Graduate students: that is, the four certificates of medical professional degree (professional master's degree) are integrated, and the master's degree is carried out at the same time as standardized training.
2. Social person: People who do not have a training certificate and do not have a work unit (have not found a job or have resigned) participate in the training as an individual.
3. Unit personnel: commonly known as entrusted training (commissioned training), that is, people who have a work unit and are sent by the work unit to the training base (hospital) for regular training.
Those who do not need to participate in the standardized training of resident doctors: whether or not graduated medical master's and doctoral degree graduates participate in the standardized training of resident doctors is not mandatory (unless otherwise specified by the local provincial health and family planning and traditional Chinese medicine management departments), and they shall choose voluntarily.
Physicians who have obtained intermediate or above professional titles in clinical, traditional Chinese medicine, and stomatology do not need to participate in standardized residency training.
After graduation, it is required to have 3 years of training for bachelor's degree, 2 years for master's students, and 2 years for doctoral students.
It is mainly used to help solve the problem of labor shortage in large hospitals, and at the same time can reduce hospital expenses.
About the training certificate
Can I get a training certificate after 3 years of rotation?
No matter what type of training it is, you need to take the final exam at the end of the training, and you can only get the training certificate after passing the exam.
The final examination of regular training is divided into theory and skills, and the skills are generally carried out in the hospital, but not necessarily in the hospital where the training is located.
After all, we said that the occupational physician examination is not divided into departments, so the content of everyone's examination is the same, and the certificate is the same, and the training certificate will be subdivided into internal, external, gynecology, pediatrics and other departments, which means that the examination content of different specialties is different, and it will be more professional and detailed.
Of course, this also means that when you graduate from a master's degree, you need to publish a dissertation in a related major for the degree certificate, and at the same time, you need to take the training completion examination of the relevant department for the training certificate.
The impact of different provinces on training certificates
As we said earlier, the training is still a matter arranged by each province according to the relevant national policies, so the specific details of each province are not exactly the same, in previous years, some students encountered a small trouble with cross-provincial training, and returned to their hometown to work after the training in other provinces, because the training certificate is not in this province, so they need to be trained in this province for an additional year.
In addition, there are many special circumstances in which you are admitted to graduate school in the middle of the training, or you want to withdraw from the training to participate in other majors or other provinces, and these details need to be consulted with the local health department or hospital.
Can I stay in the hospital after regular training?
Many students are concerned about whether they can stay in the hospital after regular training? This is mainly related to the form of our regular training.
If you are trained during the graduate school and have four certificates in one after graduation, you will have a great advantage when recruiting in the training hospital. If you are assigned to another hospital for training, you need to serve in the original hospital for several years after passing the training. If you are trained in this hospital, you will continue to work in this hospital after the training.
Is there a conflict between regular training and graduate school entrance examinations?
Once the training starts, it cannot be stopped in the middle. If you pause, start from scratch next time.
Many undergraduates participate in regular training after graduation, but they want to take the postgraduate entrance examination in the middle, but they do not want to give up the regular training and fall into a dilemma.
It is recommended that undergraduates who have not graduated should weigh the training and postgraduate entrance examination in the final year, and if they want to have both, they must seriously prepare for the postgraduate examination during the school period. During the graduate school period, I will participate in regular training. Undergraduates who are already in regular training should weigh the pros and cons and make a good career plan.
The advantages of regular training for career development
Medical students are generally confused at the beginning and cannot change their roles from school to clinic. Through regular training, you will understand what you want and how you should do it, so that you can actively absorb knowledge and exercise your ability.
As the saying goes, "the ruler is short, the inch is long", everyone has advantages and disadvantages that are different from others. Not only has he accumulated a lot of clinical experience, but he has also learned how to communicate with patients.
Therefore, compared with fresh graduates, regular trainees have a more obvious advantage in the competition. Regular training has become the general trend, and the earlier the regular training, the more beneficial.
