Brief introduction of the work
Shen Xinyi and Sun Ke, reporters of "China Youth Daily", were deeply touched when they saw the report on the WeChat public account of "Shandong Armed Police" about the officers and soldiers of the Tai'an Detachment of the Armed Police for 35 consecutive years, sticking to the top of Mount Tai at an altitude of 1,545 meters, and serving the people on duty rain or shine.
Every holiday, beside the mountain gate of Mount Tai and the side of the mountain road, there are always olive green figures standing silently. They are officers and soldiers on duty of the Tai'an detachment of the armed police, guarding the safety of tourists from all over the country.
At half past four o'clock in the morning, the officers and men on duty had already put on their overcoats, sorted out their equipment, and prepared to rush to their duty points. It takes half an hour to an hour for tourists to get from their temporary stations to various scenic spots, while the officers and soldiers have to be in place in 10 minutes.
In order to see the shocking scenery of the sunrise in the east, Mount Tai in the early morning is crowded with people. This is the most tense moment for the officers and soldiers, and they must always pay attention to the safety of tourists. Where you can see the sunrise and where you can't stand in danger, the officers and men patiently explained and reminded them.
Due to the high altitude, the temperature difference between the mountain and the mountain can be 10~12 °C. The mountain is windy and the temperature is low at night, with the lowest temperature at the summit dropping to -5°C even in the spring season. However, the officers and men were on duty without shelter, and they remained immovable despite the cold wind.
If you are in trouble, you will find the people's soldiers. When tourists encounter various situations on the way to the mountain, they will ask the officers and soldiers for help. Pull, help, show the way...... We can always see officers and soldiers extending a helping hand to tourists. At any time, this "olive green" can give us peace of mind.
The Tai'an detachment of the armed police has been sticking to the front line during the holidays for 35 consecutive years, and is responsible for maintaining order in the Taishan Scenic Area. In more than 170 duty missions, officers and men have handled more than 200 emergencies of various kinds, rescued more than 1,200 tourists, and guided more than 6.5 million tourists. Partners, during the May Day holiday, we must pay attention to our own safety when traveling, and don't forget to pay tribute to these armed police officers and soldiers who stick to the scenic spot!
