Since June 20, the railway department has added 20 EMU trains to provide "silent carriage" services, expanding to 92 EMU trains to better meet the needs of passengers for a better travel life.
In order to create a civilized, orderly, warm and comfortable travel environment, the railway department has piloted the "silent carriage" service on the Beijing-Shanghai and Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railways since December 2020, and gradually expanded to the Beijing-Guangzhou, Zhengyu, Beijing-Harbin, Shanghai-Kunming, and Xicheng high-speed railways, which are favored by the majority of passengers. In order to further improve the service quality of high-speed rail operation and optimize the travel experience of passengers, the railway department has coordinated the use of EMU resources and continued to expand the coverage of "silent carriage" services, adding 20 new Fuxing EMU trains on high-speed rail lines such as Beijing-Guangzhou, Shanghai-Kunming and Guinan to provide this service, including 4 cross-border high-speed rail trains between the mainland and Hong Kong, so that more passengers will experience the "silent carriage" service.
Tickets for the train go on sale today (6 June). Passengers can choose to purchase "silent car" tickets through railway 12306, and abide by the "silent" agreement, keep quiet in the carriage, wear headphones or turn off the sound source external function when using various electronic devices, turn the mobile phone to silent or vibrate, take care of the accompanying children, avoid noise, and jointly build a shared civilized, warm and quiet train travel environment.
